Rally Planned For RANDY BLYTHE On The Steps Of The Supreme Court

Randy Blythe, Lamb of God, at With Full Force 2007

While we won’t hear much on the Randy Blythe case until his bail hearing on Thursday, one Blythe friend and ally is taking action. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, organizer Tommy Streat, who previously planned a vigil for Blythe in Richmond, will be planning a rally on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, DC this Sunday, July 22nd from 1pm to 3pm eastern.

“Hopefully, we’ll be welcoming him home. But if not, we’ll be sending the message that will support him.” Streat was quoting as saying.

Meanwhile, the petition to gain the White House’s attention on the matter has passed 16,000 signees, and is need of 9,000 more for the White House to take notice of it. Please note, even if the petition reaches it’s destined number of signatures, it does not guarantee Blythe’s freedom, or so much as more than a website admin looking at it.

Blythe has been held in a Czech prison for over three weeks on allegations of manslaughter stemming from a 2010 concert in the city of Prague, where a fan died from injury complications stemming from stage diving at the Lamb of God show and allegedly a push from Blythe is what caused the injury.

Also:

Tons of conflicting reports have been surfacing, most recently that the video footage that surfaced of a fan stage diving at the show was not of the victim, Daniel N. The Gauntlet has posted a pretty comprehensive article trying to state their case that it was in fact the victim, Daniel N.
