A&M/Octane Hollywood Undead have unleashed the music video for the track ‘We Are,’ the first single from their upcoming 2013 album, ‘Notes From the Underground,’ due Jan. 8. The video was directed by Slipknot percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan and is available below for your eyeballs to experience. The sinister video is shot masterfully by Crahan, with his creative vision complementing both the song and the performances showcased by Hollywood Undead. The clip is not one to be missed, as each member gets their own little vignette, whether it be writing messages with a massive amount of cocaine, smashing televisions, robbing liquor stores or setting people on fire. The video for ‘We Are’ has arrived just in time for fans to pre-order ‘Notes From the Underground’ at iTunes . Liz Ramanand, Loudwire The Monster Energy Outbreak Tour made its stop in New York City on Sunday night (Dec. 9) for a sold-out show at the Best Buy Theater. Headliners Asking Alexandria set fans into a frenzy, as did As I Lay Dying , Memphis May Fire, I See Stars and Attila. The night was bittersweet. As much as fans enjoyed the performance of the bands, there was also a wistful vibe throughout the night as many fans remembered frontman Mitch Lucker of Suicide Silence, who were supposed to be on the tour’s lineup before the untimely death of their vocalist. The night kicked off with a decent set by party metal band Attila, followed by I See Stars, who got fans bouncing and brought on the first Wall of Death of the night. Memphis May Fire were up next and delivered an intense performance. One of the best sets of the night went to As I Lay Dying, who ripped the place apart with massive pits, a heap of crowd surfers and the night’s second Wall of Death. The main act of the night, Asking Alexandria, kicked off their set but without frontman Danny Worsnop, but fans, who were a tad confused, still sang along. Eventually, Worsnop came out onstage to screaming fans and explained that he tore his vocal cord and wouldn’t be able to perform, but that his buds from I See Stars and Attila would take over the vocal duties. The band also got help from a multitalented roadie, who was busy setting up the equipment and taping down wires before they began, but graced the stage and tore it up on a few Asking Alexandria songs. However, it was the fans who really took over the vocal duties and belted out all of the words to all of the songs they performed. The most poignant moment of the set was the band dedicating their track ‘Someone, Somewhere’ to Mitch Lucker. The tune was sung by Us, From Outside vocalist Kenny Davis. When Asking Alexandria left the stage, the Suicide Silence classic ‘You Only Live Once’ played in honor of Lucker. Fans remembered him in the best way possible with massive pits, some serious crowd surfing and by singing the song word for word. Danny Worsnop did come out for the encore to perform the fan favorite ‘The Final Episode (Let’s Change the Channel).’ Worsnop and a bunch of his buddies destroyed the stage. Mary Ouellette, SheWillShootYou.com Just a few weeks ago, Shinedown and Three Days Grace announced the first leg of a co-headlining U.S. tour that kicks off in February 2013. Now, the two bands have added a second leg of dates to the trek. With the new leg kicking off on March 9 in Orlando, Fla., at the Amway Center and taking them through March 30 in Fargo, N.D. at the Fargodome, the 16 new dates will have the rock titans out on the road through the end of March. The tour will mark the first time that many fans will be able to catch Three Days Grace playing songs off their new disc ‘Transit of Venus,’ released on Oct. 2. Meanwhile, Shinedown will continue to showcase their latest disc ‘Amaryllis,’ which has already spawned hit singles like ‘Bully,’ ‘Unity,’ and ‘Enemies.’ Three Days Grace are anxious to get back out on the road after playing a handful of sold out shows in small venues for their fans, commenting, “We can’t wait to get back out on the road to play live for our fans; that’s the best part of doing what we do.” Shinedown have already promised to raise the bar for this new tour, which is a pretty hefty pledge considering their successful summer run on the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival Both bands are competing in the 2012 Loudwire Music Awards for ‘ Rock Song of the Year .’ As they are doing for the first leg, P.O.D. will be opening all of the shows on the new leg of the tour. The couple that plays together, stays together! A rock music rarity took place during Bush ‘s set at the 23rd annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas at the Gibson Ampitheatre in Los Angeles on Dec. 8. Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale was joined onstage by his wife Gwen Stefani , a successful artist in her own right as the singer of No Doubt and as a solo act who has churned out hit after hit. As he usually does, Rossdale started playing ’Glycerine’ by himself for the first minute or so, until Stefani surprised the crowd when she took the stage to lend her distinct vocals to Bush’s mid-’90s smash hit. It was the first time that the musical couple has performed together in more than a decade, according to band management. Christmas is always the most magical time of the year, and some real rock ‘n’ roll magic took place on the stage of this yearly event. While Stefani has primarily been delivering pop music these days, she looked right at home offering a vocal assist on a rock song. She was dressed in her trademark stage clothes — plaid pants, a sheer top and heels, with her hair pulled back. She even rocked out a bit onstage as the pace of the song picked up when the rest of Bush joined in for the climax of the song. The pair sealed the performance with a kiss on the lips! How romantic, since they made beautiful music together – literally. We would not be surprised if the couple’s young sons Kingston and Zuma end up as musicians, with this kind of DNA in their veins. Facebook: Suicide Silence The music world continues to mourn the loss of Suicide Silence ‘s Mitch Lucker , a rising star in the metal community who perished in a motorcycle accident on Halloween night earlier this year. In the wake of his death, a memorial show designed to raise funds for Lucker’s young daughter, Kenadee, was recently announced and now some of the talent has been revealed. According to a Facebook posting , the first three musicians to sign on for the “Ending Is the Beginning” show are Hellyeah and Mudvayne frontman Chad Gray , As I Lay Dying belter Tim Lambesis and All Shall Perish leader Eddie Hermida. The event is expected to honor the musical legacy of Lucker with guest vocalists taking turns joining the band onstage at the show. The event will take place at Pomona, California’s Fox Theater on Dec. 21, with the proceeds from the show going to a fund that will provide for the future education of the singer’s daughter. More guests are expected to be named in the weeks leading up to the show. Tickets for the event are currently available here . Every Time I Die are in the midst of a tour with the Chariot, and have now announced they will be hitting the road again in February 2013 with the Acacia Strain . Also on the bill with ETID and the Acacia Strain will be Vanna, Hundredth and No Bragging Rights. The tour kicks off Feb. 6 in Chicago and after winding across the country and into Canada, wraps up in Allentown, Pa., on March 6. Every Time I Die are touring in support of their latest album ‘Ex Lives,’ which was released in March. The Acacia Strain were recently in a van accident that caused them to drop off their co-headlining tour with Veil of Maya. Liz Ramanand, Loudwire It took a little longer than initially expected, but Machine Head made it back to the stage Monday night in Oakland. The band was forced to temporarily drop off their tour when Robb Flynn required emergency surgery for a hernia, and they planned to be back for a show in Portland, Ore., on Saturday night. However, a bus breakdown thwarted those plans, but they eventually returned to the stage in Oakland. The timing was perfect for the band, as the Fox Theater’s hometown crowd provided just the boost the group was looking for upon their return. This marked the band’s first set in Oakland since their 1995 performance at Kaiser Arena supporting Slayer. Flynn, just 12 days removed from his surgery and still fighting a chest infection, gave the fans his all during the performance. The band had vowed prior to the surgery that they would return before the trek was finished and they’ll now complete the run with fellow rockers Dethklok , All That Remains , and the Black Dahlia Murder .
