Sepultura Release Signature Brand of Beer

Sepultura Beer Thrash legends Sepultura  have unveiled their own line of beer. Labeled with the band’s signature spiked ‘S’ logo, the brew is striving to hit your sense of taste with a creation as full-bodied as Sepultura’s music. The Sepultura Weizen beer is a wheat-based brew, which can come in an incredibly awesome package resembling a Marshall amp. Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten our hands on the beer yet, but it has been said that Sepultura’s drink possesses “turbidity caused by natural yeast in suspension” and the “aroma and flavors of banana and clove from a special strain of yeast that produces the chemicals that lead to these perceptions.” Alcoholic beverages released by bands seems like they might one day surpass the concert t-shirt in must-have items. Signature beers  and wines have recently been released by bands such as AC/DC , Clutch and Motorhead . There’s no word if Sepultura’s beer will see a major release or will make it to the U.S., but we’ll be saving space in the office fridge for just the occasion. Dee Snider to Be Roasted by Zakk Wylde, Scott Ian + More at 2nd Annual ‘Rock & Roll Roast’

Ethan Miller (3), Getty Images Outspoken Twisted Sister vocalist Dee Snider will have the tables turned on him on Jan. 24 when he becomes the subject of the 2nd Annual ‘Rock & Roll Roast’ taking place in Anaheim, Calif. The musician will be lovingly skewered by peers such as Zakk Wylde , Anthrax ‘s Scott Ian and Lita Ford , as well as several comedians and celebrities. Penn Jillette, a veteran of ‘ Celebrity Apprentice ‘ alongside Snider and half of the comedy-magic duo Penn & Teller, will serve as the roastmaster for the evening. In addition, Snider will endure a few barbs from WWE wrestler Mick Foley, ‘That Metal Show’ hosts Eddie Trunk and Jim Florentine and comedians Jim Norton and Craig Gass. Wylde, who will be part of the dais for this event, was the subject of last year’s roast and in effect, will get to deliver some comedic payback to some of the returning roasters. Snider is also keen on the idea of payback, stating about the upcoming roast, “Roasters remember: P.A.M.F. Payback’s A Mutha f—er!” The event will be taped and will air on AXS TV at midnight ET / 9PM PT Jan. 24. A portion of the proceeds from the ‘Rock & Roll Roast’ will benefit the MusiCares organization, which aids in the financial assistance and addiction recovery programs of musicians in need. In addition to jabs about “lapel pins on uniforms” and “electric twangers,” as referenced in Twisted Sister’s most popular videos, the dais will have lots of material to harp on. Snider released his ‘Shut Up and Give Me the Mic’ autobiography in early 2012. He’s also appeared on such reality shows as ‘Gone Country,’ ‘Rock the Cradle’ and ‘Growing Up Twisted’ on top of his past and upcoming ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ appearances. And he also released an album of show tunes called ‘Dee Does Broadway.’ [button href=”http://loudwire.com/twisted-sister-jay-jay-french-trademark-law-doesnt-offer-choice-what-to-defend/” title=”Next: Twisted Sister’s Jay Jay French Discusses Defending the Band’s Trademark” align=”center”]

Motionless In White Deliver an ‘Infamous’ Show in New York City With Chelsea Grin + More

Liz Ramanand, Loudwire Motionless In White literally shook the foundation of New York City’s Irving Plaza on Sunday night (Dec. 15), along with Chelsea Grin , Stick to Your Guns, The Witch Was Right and Upon This Dawning. It was a big night for Motionless In White, who stopped in New York City for their first North American headlining tour. Not one person in the venue was standing still during their set as fans went crazy as the band performed ‘Creatures,’ ‘Abigail,’ and ‘Immaculate Conception,’ among other tunes. Irving Plaza felt as if were about to cave in as fans moved with force as Motionless in White played new tracks such as ‘If It’s Dead We’ll Kill It,’ off of their latest release ‘Infamous.’ Earlier in the evening, Chelsea Grin took the stage and gave an energetic performance which had the crowd bouncing to songs such as ‘The Second Coming,’ ‘The Foolish One,’ ‘Recreant’ and ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell,’ among others. Stick to Your Guns preached positive messages in between songs but during their performance fans voraciously crowd surfed so much that security guards could barely keep up with them. The Witch Was Right and Upon This Dawning also served as support for the night. The show as a whole gave off a Warped Tour like atmosphere inside the intimate space of Irving Plaza. Although Motionless In White’s 2012 headlining tour has wrapped up, the band is set to hit Europe with Asking Alexandria in 2013. Check out a full list of dates and countries here .
