Marilyn Manson Stage Collapse Due to Flu

Mary Ouellette, SheWillShootYou.com As reported earlier, Marilyn Manson collapsed and vomited onstage near the end of his set in Saskatoon, Canada, last night (Feb. 6). Now, comes word that Manson was suffering from the flu, according to TMZ . Apparently, the shock rocker was not feeling well all day, but still wanted to go on with the show. As seen in a YouTube clip, Manson collapsed in the middle of performing the set-closer ‘The Beautiful People.’ TMZ reports that Manson vomited onstage several times before taking a knee and eventually falling backward onto the stage, at which time members of his road crew came out to carry him backstage. Manson chose not to go a hospital, instead opting to rest up in his hotel room. He and his band are scheduled to perform next tomorrow night in Calgary. As of now, the show is still a go. Marilyn Manson’s North American tour with the Butcher Babies is scheduled through a Feb. 23 gig in Las Vegas. See the full list of dates here . Marilyn Manson Wins Rock Album of the Year in the 2012 Loudwire Music Awards

Mary Ouellette, shewillshootyou.com You voted, we tabulated and, in the end,  Marilyn Manson  had an incredibly decisive victory for Rock Album of the Year in the 2012 Loudwire Music Awards. The singer’s ‘Born Villain’ album took home a whopping 31.7 percent of the overall vote. ‘Born Villain,’ which featured the hit lead single ‘No Reflection’ and the follow-up tracks ‘Slo-Mo-Tion’ and ‘Hey, Cruel World …,’ led Manson to a landslide victory, with Stone Sour’s ‘House of Gold & Bones, Pt. 1′ being the closest competitor at just shy of 19 percent of the vote. The only other act to receive a double-digit percentage was Halestorm’s ‘The Strange Case Of …,’ which placed third with 14.5 percent of the final tally. Add in winning Loudwire’s Rock Video of the Year for ‘No Reflection’ and 2012 was a pretty good year for Manson. The musician will kick off 2013 on the road with Butcher Babies, continuing the promotion of the ‘Born Villain’ disc. Marilyn Manson Wins Rock Video of the Year in the 2012 Loudwire Music Awards

Mary Ouellette, SheWillShootYou.com Marilyn Manson rebounded in a big way in 2012 and the fans responded by making his ‘No Reflection’ clip the 2012 Loudwire Music Awards Rock Video of the Year. With thousands of votes collected over the past month-and-a-half, Manson won one of the closer battles in this year’s Loudwire Music Awards, with the ‘No Reflection’ video taking just over 38 percent of the vote. The clip bested Slash’s animated ‘Bad Rain’ promo, which put up a good fight with just shy of 34 percent of the vote. Much like in his video, Manson was the one left standing at the end and congrats are in order for the rocker. The vocalist and his band are hitting the road to kick off 2013, sharing the stage with up-and-coming rockers Butcher Babies. With momentum on his side, it will be fun to watch Manson’s comeback continue in 2013. Marilyn Manson Announces 2013 North American Winter Tour

If you missed Marilyn Manson and his band during their 2012 tour, you’ve got another shot to see them in 2013. Manson & Co. have just announced dates for a North American Winter 2013 trek. The tour kicks off Jan. 18 in Milwaukee and wraps up Feb. 23 in Las Vegas. Joining Marilyn Manson on the trek as special guests will be the Los Angeles band Butcher Babies. Marilyn Manson was recently nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for his track ‘No Reflection’ off his latest album, ‘Born Villain.’ He’s also competing for Rock Song of the Year, Rock Album of the Year and Rock Video of the Year in our very own 2012 Loudwire Music Awards.
