A&M/Octane Hollywood Undead have unleashed the music video for the track ‘We Are,’ the first single from their upcoming 2013 album, ‘Notes From the Underground,’ due Jan. 8. The video was directed by Slipknot percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan and is available below for your eyeballs to experience. The sinister video is shot masterfully by Crahan, with his creative vision complementing both the song and the performances showcased by Hollywood Undead. The clip is not one to be missed, as each member gets their own little vignette, whether it be writing messages with a massive amount of cocaine, smashing televisions, robbing liquor stores or setting people on fire. The video for ‘We Are’ has arrived just in time for fans to pre-order ‘Notes From the Underground’ at iTunes . Facebook: Flyleaf Flyleaf have unleashed a funky new black and white animated video for their new single ‘Call You Out’ off of their latest album ‘New Horizons.’ The very creative clip follows an angry bear who takes pleasure in terrorizing the smaller animals of the forest, but you’ll have to watch the clip to see what becomes of the bullying bear. The video was directed by Brad Scott who has this to say about creating the clip: ”Our team has been a fan of Flyleaf since the very beginning, so working on a music video for the album ‘New Horizons’ was a great honor. Flyleaf’s new song ‘Call You Out’ is about the power of truth rising against evil.” Scott goes on to say, “We aligned our characters with a cast of animals who were pitted against the ultimate antagonist in a forest. Through this, the video became the ultimate musical fable; light versus dark, and the triumph of good versus evil. Using live-action and animation we decided to limit our style to a monochromatic tone, with a dark and stormy vibe. I feel that Flyleaf fans all around will love this video, and we’re really excited for the premiere.” ‘New Horizons’ is Flyleaf’s last album with vocalist Lacey Sturm, who announced her departure from the band earlier this year. Facebook: Machine Head It’s been eight years since the tragic onstage murder of Pantera / Damageplan guitar legend ‘Dimebag’ Darrell Abbott , but the utter outpouring of love, respect and the desire to memorialize the man has not diminished one iota. Among those who honored Dimebag’s legacy this year are Robb Flynn and the rest of Machine Head . On Saturday, Dec. 8, the eighth anniversary of Dimebag’s passing, Machine Head performed a set in Atlanta, Ga. After concluding the song ‘Beautiful Mourning,’ Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn began to address the Atlanta audience about the death of Dimebag, along with the morbid and unfortunate anniversary day. “I’m sure all of you know, or maybe some of you don’t know, but today is Dec. 8th,” begins Flynn. “Eight years ago; this is f—ing mind-boggling to even believe, but eight years ago, Dimebag Darrell was killed onstage, man. The legacy that that man left in the world, the footprint that that dude left on the f—ing entire metal universe was unf—ing believable.” Flynn continues, “We called him a brother, man. We were friends. We had so many incredible drunken f—ing nights and hung over mornings on those two tours that we did with them. He was an amazing, amazing individual … We’re not here to celebrate his death, we’re here to celebrate his life right now, ladies and gentlemen.” After the heart-wrenching speech, Machine Head blasted into a cover of Pantera’s ‘F—ing Hostile,’ which received an explosive reaction from the crowd (watch below). The couple that plays together, stays together! A rock music rarity took place during Bush ‘s set at the 23rd annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas at the Gibson Ampitheatre in Los Angeles on Dec. 8. Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale was joined onstage by his wife Gwen Stefani , a successful artist in her own right as the singer of No Doubt and as a solo act who has churned out hit after hit. As he usually does, Rossdale started playing ’Glycerine’ by himself for the first minute or so, until Stefani surprised the crowd when she took the stage to lend her distinct vocals to Bush’s mid-’90s smash hit. It was the first time that the musical couple has performed together in more than a decade, according to band management. Christmas is always the most magical time of the year, and some real rock ‘n’ roll magic took place on the stage of this yearly event. While Stefani has primarily been delivering pop music these days, she looked right at home offering a vocal assist on a rock song. She was dressed in her trademark stage clothes — plaid pants, a sheer top and heels, with her hair pulled back. She even rocked out a bit onstage as the pace of the song picked up when the rest of Bush joined in for the climax of the song. The pair sealed the performance with a kiss on the lips! So it makes perfect sense that ‘Photograph’ and Instagram are lumped together to create a new song parody. College Humor is behind the new song and video, ‘Look at This Instagram,’ which mocks the inane objects that people attempt to photograph using the filtered option on the camera phones. While the song takes a jab at the Instagram craze, Nickelback doesn’t exactly get off the hook either. Yes the lyrics are altered to fit the message, but the vocals are where the band gets knocked a bit. It’s obvious that the male and female leads of the clip have had their vocals manipulated to achieve the Chad Kroeger -like sound. YouTube: Metallica Metallica fans are a devoted bunch and you get to see their passion for the band in full effect in the newly posted video of ‘Master of Puppets’ that’s part of the upcoming ‘ Quebec Magnetic ‘ DVD. The group deliver a blistering performance musically, but James Hetfield , perhaps encouraged by the audience response, lets the crowd fill in some of the vocal parts on ‘Master of Puppets’ while he and the band let loose with their furious playing. The song is definitely a highlight of the forthcoming release. Metallica headed to Quebec City in the fall of 2009 as part of their ‘World Magnetic Tour’ and the shows were filmed for the forthcoming DVD/Blu-Ray offering, ‘Quebec Magnetic,’ which will be in stores Dec. 10. This will be the band’s first release via their new Blackened Recordings label. The group recently announced the launch of the label in coordination with the news that they had taken control of the masters of their past recordings, giving the band full access over how their music is used going forward. Part of having control means the band can offer their concert film at the reasonable price of $15.98 for either the DVD or Blu-Ray format. Liz Ramanand, Loudwire It’s no secret many Korn fans were bummed when Brian ‘Head’ Welch left the band, but he is set to reunite with the group for a couple of shows in 2013 after playing a one-off gig at the Carolina Rebellion festival this past year. ‘Head’ is set to join Korn for their dates at next year’s German rock festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park. The gigs will be his first full sets with the band since 2004. Loudwire had the opportunity to catch up with guitarist Munky on last week’s ShipRocked cruise, and he talked all about his excitement for the upcoming German Festival dates and jamming out with ‘Head.’ Munky also expressed his optimism for ‘Head’ eventually rejoining Korn permanently, but makes it clear that they don’t want to rush anything and still have a long road ahead of them. “He’s our brother, to be able to have him onstage with us is a great thing.
