Hollywood Undead Unveil ‘Notes From the Underground’ Album Artwork + Track Listing

A&M / Octone The return of Hollywood Undead is upon us, as the band has now revealed the artwork and track listing for their forthcoming ‘Notes From the Underground’ album. The latest news follows the recent revelation that the disc would arrive on Jan. 8 and the current success of the new single, ‘We Are.’ The band recently announced that they were shooting a video for the track with Slipknot ‘s Shawn “Clown” Crahan stepping behind the camera to film the clip . As for the artwork (seen to the left), it offers the look of a weathered book with stenciled orange lettering set against a solid red backdrop with an image of a bird carrying its prey. The disc itself consists of 11 new tunes, led by ‘ We Are .’ One of the band’s vocalists, Johnny 3 Tears, recently stated of the track and its background, “The song is about collective resistance. It’s the silent majority, but we’re using Los Angeles as the backdrop. Every time we work with Danny [Lohner], he takes our music to the next level. He’s willing to go as far outside the box as we are. As a whole, it’s a good introduction to ‘Notes From The Underground’ because it encompasses the band idealistically. Think of it as an ode to our misled youth.” The set also features the lead off track, ‘Dead Bite,’ which the band already previewed, as well as such standouts as ‘Another Way Out’ and ‘Believe.’ The full track listing is provided below. Iron Maiden Bassist Steve Harris Releases Video for Solo Track ‘Us Against the World’

EMI Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris dropped his debut solo album ‘British Lion’ earlier this year. He released a video for ‘This is My God’ in October, and now he and his band have unleashed another music video, this time for the track ‘Us Against the World.’ Described by Harris as less of a solo project and more of a side project, the legendary bassist wrote the entire album with vocalist Richard Taylor. Guitarist and keyboardist David Hawkins also contributed to the majority of the material for ‘British Lion,’ with a numerous amount other unofficial musicians lending their talents to the album. The video for ‘Us Against the World’ is pretty low-budget, especially compared to Iron Maiden’s latest music video for ‘The Final Frontier’ in 2010, which looks like it cost as much as an entire independent film. ‘Us Against the World’ introduces new fans to the members of Harris’ band, giving the musicians, especially Taylor, a large amount of screen time. Apart from the simple nature of the video, it features the band playing in a dark room with small rays of light shining through, reminiscent of Korn’s landmark video for ‘Freak on a Leash.’ Check out Steve Harris’ new vid for ‘Us Against the World.’ Steve Harris, ‘Us Against the World’

Pig Destroyer Unleash New Tripped-Out Video for ‘The Diplomat’

Relapse Who says the music video is a dead art form? Pig Destroyer have just released a video for their new track ‘The Diplomat,’ which pays tribute to ’2001: A Space Odyssey’ while injecting pure LSD into the eyeballs of anyone who chooses to view ‘The Diplomat.’ On Oct. 24, Pig Destroyer posted a teaser on their Facebook page for their new music video. Along with a visually addicting image of black-lit apes , Pig Destroyer warned fans with the message, “Prepare your anus for tomorrow…” Although the video’s release was pushed back until today (Oct. 26), the delay gave grinders an extra day to prepare their poop-chutes for one of the year’s best videos. ‘The Diplomat’ video showcases a time-traveling businessman and his faceless limo driver, as they return to a time where apes claimed dominance. The businessman comes equipped with a mystery briefcase and an arsenal of machine guns, which leads to some primate pulverizing. We won’t give away the ending of the video, but believe us when we say that ‘The Diplomat’ needs to be seen by fans of experimental and trippy visuals, along with brilliant grindcore. ‘The Diplomat’ comes from Pig Destroyer’s newest album, ‘ Book Burner ,’ which proves to be one of 2012′s essential metal albums, with even Larry King (unknowingly) contributing to new track ‘The Bug.’ Treat yourself by checking out Pig Destroyer’s new video for ‘The Diplomat.’ Pig Destroyer, ‘The Diplomat’

Cradle of Filth Reveal ‘Frost on Her Pillow’ Music Video

Nuclear Blast The time is almost upon us for Cradle of Filth to unveil their tenth studio album, ‘The Manticore and Other Horrors.’ The band has already given fans a peak into the disc with the tracks ‘Manticore’ and ‘For Your Vulgar Delectation,’ but now the goth metal act has released a video for ‘Frost on Her Pillow.’ The visuals are quintessential Cradle of Filth. ‘Frost on Her Pillow’ brings the feeling of an 1800s masquerade ball with a much darker focus. As the video switches between shots of the band performing in a dark attic and the story, a voodoo witch doctor and a demonic figure that lurks in the darkness stalk the video’s heroine. There’s no sign of a manticore (a mythical creature with a human head, lion’s body and a dragon or scorpion’s tail) just yet, but perhaps we’ll see one from the band soon. Cradle of Filth vocalist Dani Filth recently described the band’s upcoming record in a press release. “This is our tenth commandment in metal,” begins Filth. “We have diversified and kept alive the spirit of this band and breathed it into something that I can proudly say, slays like an absolute motherf—er. The Manticore is coming … Long live the filth!” Check out Cradle of Filth’s captivatingly dark music video for ‘Frost on Her Pillow’ in the player below. Foxy Shazam Conceive Divine Music Video for ‘Holy Touch’

Although the sighting of a music video on MTV has drifted into the realm of Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster or a Courtney Love news story that has to do with her music, that doesn’t mean the art form of songs put to film has been entirely lost. Thanks to the eccentric musicians from Foxy Shazam, the rock world has a video for ‘Holy Touch,’ which consists of bizarre characters,
