Buckcherry Unleash ‘Gluttony’ Video

AOL Buckcherry have been singing about excess with their new single, ‘Gluttony,’ and now they’re sharing a visual representation of the sin with their latest music video. The band recently shot the clip at a church in North Hollywood, Calif., with actor-turned-director Billy Jayne overseeing the shoot. The video finds Josh Todd and the band leading the congregation toward temptation. Guitarist Keith Nelson says of Jayne’s contribution, “It was really refreshing to see his take on what we’re doing because he totally gets the music, he’s connecting with it, and he’s taking it to a different place than a guy who does videos for a living. We got a guy who actually makes movies and TV shows to put his spin on it and it’s been really positive.” Todd recently told Loudwire about the track, “It’s just about trying to control your behavior. They always say that you have to do everything in moderation and that’s never been my experience. One is okay, two is better, three is fantastic and four is the best. I want to consume everything. I want to go big or go home. I’m either on 11 or I’m asleep.” The vocalist also tells  Noisecreep , who premiered the clip, “Because the record is called ‘ Confessions ,’ we filmed the video in a church. We got Jesus down here — which is killer — and we got a lot of our fans in it, which is amazing. They came out on their own time and have really put a lot of sweat equity, so thank you to them.” In the video itself, the full congregation seem to be giving in to excess, while one member remains to fight temptation, only to have both Todd and Jesus bending his ear throughout the clip. The ‘Confessions’ album is due in stores Feb. 19, but fans may pre-order the disc right here . Buckcherry have tour dates booked with Kid Rock that were scheduled through early March, but a second leg has just been added, with the trek now extended into April. Funeral for a Friend, ‘The Distance’ Lyric Video – Exclusive Premiere

The End Records Funeral for a Friend are ramping up to the release of their sixth studio album, ‘ Conduit ,’ and Loudwire is proud to bring you the exclusive premiere of their new lyric video for the single, ‘The Distance.’ The ‘Conduit’ album finds the band working with producer Romesh Dodangoda and is their first official release with new drummer Pat Lundy. Singer Matthew Davies-Kreye says of the album’s title, “Five people on a stage, a conduit for the message and the music, delivering that to people who want to listen to it, be a part of whatever it is that we’re doing and being involved. It’s purely about delivering the message.” The vocalist says that he enjoys seeing how their music can affect people and how the songs transcend the band and become something more to a lot of people. He adds, “It sounds lofty I know, but that’s how it feels to us when we meet the folks who dig our band and who treat these songs with so much love and respect. It blows our minds constantly.” Will ‘The Distance’ soon be among the songs receiving that respect from fans? The track itself fits right in with the album’s theme. It’s a driving rocker that speaks to making a connection. As for the clip, the words for the song appear over a backdrop of muted colors. Meanwhile, at the top of the screen, a wave-like file is monitoring the intensity of the music. Funeral for a Friend’s ‘Conduit’ album arrives Feb. 5 and can currently be pre-ordered here . Anthrax Reveal Full Track Listing + Artwork for Upcoming EP ‘Anthems’

Megaforce After recently revealing the release date of their upcoming covers EP,  Anthrax have unveiled the full track list for the release, along with the artwork for the cover of the CD (pictured on the left). Along with covers of Rush’s ‘Anthem,’ Thin Lizzy’s ‘Jailbreak,’ AC/DC’s ‘TNT,’ Cheap Trick’s ‘Big Eyes,’ Boston’s ‘Smokin” and Journey’s ‘Keep on Runnin’,’ two additional songs on the eight-track EP turn out not to be covers at all. I had fun singing these songs and I was happy recording together with Anthrax, doing classic rock songs. Fun stuff!” Adds drummer Charlie Benante, “If ever there were a perfect first album, it’s Boston’s first album. The harmony leads they did would later be heard by Iron Maiden, which of course would lead to thrash metal.” Look out for ‘Anthems’ to be released on March 19. Volbeat Prep New Album Produced by Former Anthrax Guitarist Rob Caggiano

Mary Ouellette, SheWillShootYou.com Former Anthrax guitarist Rob Caggiano hasn’t wasted any time whatsoever with his recent decision to leave the band and dedicate his career to production. In fact, Caggiano has entered the studio with Danish rockers  Volbeat to twiddle the knobs on their fifth studio album, which is titled ‘Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies’ and due this spring. “We’re back in the studio, this time breaking some of our old habits and this sometimes means leaving our comfort zone,” reveals Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen. “We are recording in a new environment, producing with a new set up breaking new sonic ground and it’s exciting! Together with our long time collaborator Jacob Hansen we also have the honor of having producer Rob Caggiano on board in the producer’s seat. Expect lots of surprises and some of our most rocking heavy songs to date. We feel more than ever that we are taking the Volbeat sound to another level without changing what we’re all about. Can’t wait for it to get out there!” Caggiano shocked the metal world two weeks ago when he  announced his departure  from Anthrax, but his producing resume includes work with Anthrax,  Bleeding Through  and the Damned Things among others, Volbeat’s ‘Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies’ will be the follow-up to their 2010 album ‘Beyond Hell / Above Heaven,’ which yielded the chart-topper ‘A Warrior’s Call’ and the current hit ‘ Heaven Nor Hell.’ Volbeat will visit North America once again for a comprehensive tour with Danko Jones beginning in Dallas on March 6 and concluding in Philadelphia on April 11. Lordi Set To Unleash ‘To Beast or Not To Beast’ in March

The End Records The latest album from the Finnish masked maniacs Lordi will be released March 19. ‘To Beast or Not To Beast’ was recorded at WireWorld Studio in Nashville, Tenn. with producer Michael Wagener ( Metallica , Ozzy Osbourne , Megadeth ). It’s the band’s first album since the  death of drummer Tonmi “Otus” Lillman , who passed away earlier this year. “The road to this album has truly been paved by hardships,” says frontman Mr. Lordi. “However, the new line-up of the band has given us new and fresh touch and an energetic edge to the recording process, and to the album itself.” Lordi’s new members are Mana and Hella. Mana is the new drummer, and Hella replaces the band’s long-time keyboardist Awa who left the band last summer. Mr. Lordi explains the album artwork. “The album cover painting is actually a part of a larger picture. The original artwork had this vintage- styled lady holding a horned skull, which, however, was not the main point of the art piece. ?There was something not quite right with the setting, so I made experiments with various versions and framings. Album title was Upgradead at that point in time, and the painting was done with that title in mind.” “But now, with a changed concept of the artwork, the title did not seem to fit anymore,” he continues. “We did not consider it an A-class name either. Our guitarist Amen came up with the final title, which we felt suitable and perfect both for the cover artwork and the album.” Lordi – ‘To Beast or Not To Beast’ Track Listing: ‘We’re Not Bad For The Kids (We’re Worse)’ ‘I Luv Ugly’ ‘The Riff’ ‘Something Wicked This Way Come’ ‘I’m The Best’ ‘Horrifiction’ ‘Happy New Fear’ ‘Schizo Doll’ ‘Candy For The Cannibal’ ‘Sincerely With Love’ ‘SCG6: Otus’ Butcher Clinic’
