Nuclear Blast / Photo Credit: Patrick Häberli We hope you enjoyed Loudwire’s most brutal Death Match to date, which featured  Suffocation taking on Dying Fetus. Hatebreed vs. The Contortionist – Death Match

Razor & Tie / eOne Congrats to Hatebreed for snatching their second consecutive win in our latest Death Match. The hardcore heroes managed to beat out death metal veterans Nile, but now, we’ve got a band from the new school of technical death to face Hatebreed. The  Contortionist have been scooping up fans since their beginnings in 2007. The Indianapolis metallers just released their second full-length, ‘Intrinsic,’ to a notable amount of praise in the metal underground. The band have just released a music video for ‘Dreaming Schematics,’ which delivers a spacey and brutal punch, despite the majority of the track’s vocals being squeaky clean. Can Hatebreed punch out yet another foe? Or can The Contortionist turn the hardcore band into a musical pretzel? Let your voice be heard by voting in the poll below. Destruction vs. Hatebreed – Death Match

Nuclear Blast / eOne Legendary German thrash band Destruction , fittingly enough, destroyed Napalm Death in our latest Death Match. The band’s track ‘Carnivore’ is now on the treacherous path to the Death Match Hall of Fame, all they have to do is defeat three more bands, starting with this next act. Hatebreed are seen as an incredibly influential band when it comes to blending elements of pure hardcore and metal together. The band is slotted to release its seventh full-length album, ‘The Divinity of Purpose,’ in January 2013, but you can check out the new track ‘Put It to the Torch’ right here. Can Destruction continue their path to the Death Match Hall of Fame? Or will Hatebreed set fire to the thrash band’s reign as Death Match champions? The choice belongs to the fans. Napalm Death vs. Destruction – Death Match

Century Media / Nuclear Blast The Acacia Strain just captured their fourth consecutive victory in our series of Death Matches, beating out Ill Nino to claim the final win. The Acacia Strain’s track ‘Victims of the Cave’ has now been declared immortal in our Death Match Hall of Fame, so we’ve got two new bands entering the Death Match, and it doesn’t get much more legendary than this. German thrash masters Destruction make their debut in our Death Match with their new track ‘Carnivore.’ From their upcoming 12th studio album, ‘Spiritual Genocide,’ the band celebrates its 30th anniversary with ‘Carnivore,’ which showcases a solid performance by Destruction as they play in a club gone very wrong. It only makes sense to challenge a legendary act with yet another massively important band, Napalm Death . With this new tour video for ‘Everyday Pox,’ Napalm Death have the chance to capture their first Death Match win, having been beaten in the past by Testament and Meshuggah. Will Destruction devastate their opponents with the power of thrash? Or will Napalm Death burn away their German foes? Their fates are in your hands. Vote for you favorite track below! The Acacia Strain vs. Ill Nino – Death Match

Rise / Victory With another victory claimed by the Acacia Strain , the band have racked up three consecutive wins in Loudwire’s Death Match. With one more, the band’s track ‘Victims of the Cave’ will be declared immortal in our Death Match Hall of Fame. The Acacia Strain have managed to put away Parkway Drive, Pig Destroyer and Fear Factory, but their greatest challenge lies in this final bout. Ill Nino recently recruited Emmure vocalist Frankie Palmeri to contribute to the new track ‘La Epidemia.’ The track from Ill Nino’s sixth full-length album uses Palmeri to explore a heavier sound, with the dual vocal attack giving the song a more pulverizing appeal. Ill Nino’s ‘Epidemia’ album was released in October through Victory Records. Can the Acacia Strain pull off one final victory to cement their place in the Death Match Hall of Fame? Or will Ill Nino snatch away a win to begin their own trail to the Hall? The choice is yours. Vote for your favorite track below! (This Death Match ends on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 10AM ET. The Acacia Strain vs. Fear Factory – Death Match

Rise / Candlelight The Acacia Strain have knocked out yet another band in the last Death Match. Having defeated the grind masters of Pig Destroyer , the Acacia Strain have two wins under their belt, but they face an incredibly difficult challenge on the path to win number three. Fear Factory have been unleashing industrialized thrash for over 20 years. The band issued their eighth full-length album, ‘The Industrialist,’ in June of this year, and have just released a music video for the record’s title track. The sound is still very much Fear Factory, and provides deadly ammo for the band in this week’s Death Match. Can the Acacia Strain continue their winning streak? Or will Fear Factory melt them down? Your votes decide the winner. Pick your favorite song in the poll below! (This Death Match ends on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 10AM ET. Fans can vote once per hour!
