Municipal Waste’s Ryan Waste Discusses Insane Music Videos, Band’s Catchphrase + More

Nuclear Blast Crossover thrash phenoms Municipal Waste have carved out a unique career for themselves through drinking beer, eating people’s entrails in space, ripping faces, but most importantly creating some truly sick thrash music. Currently on a co-headlining tour with the legendary Napalm Death , we spoke to Municipal Waste guitarist Ryan Waste about some pressing social and philosophical issues … just kidding, we talked about thrashing and hurricane-induced yeast infections. Municipal Waste described their music perfectly at their Connecticut show on Oct. 28: “There’s a gigantic circular storm coming this way tonight, and it’s called the circle pit to this next song.” In a pre-hurricane interview, Ryan Waste talks about the band’s music videos for ‘The Fatal Feast’ and ‘Repossession,’ his signature ‘MW’ guitars, adding the line “ Municipal Waste is gonna f— you up! ” to the second recording of ‘Born to Party’ and much more. Cradle of Filth Reveal ‘Frost on Her Pillow’ Music Video

Nuclear Blast The time is almost upon us for Cradle of Filth to unveil their tenth studio album, ‘The Manticore and Other Horrors.’ The band has already given fans a peak into the disc with the tracks ‘Manticore’ and ‘For Your Vulgar Delectation,’ but now the goth metal act has released a video for ‘Frost on Her Pillow.’ The visuals are quintessential Cradle of Filth. ‘Frost on Her Pillow’ brings the feeling of an 1800s masquerade ball with a much darker focus. As the video switches between shots of the band performing in a dark attic and the story, a voodoo witch doctor and a demonic figure that lurks in the darkness stalk the video’s heroine. There’s no sign of a manticore (a mythical creature with a human head, lion’s body and a dragon or scorpion’s tail) just yet, but perhaps we’ll see one from the band soon. Cradle of Filth vocalist Dani Filth recently described the band’s upcoming record in a press release. “This is our tenth commandment in metal,” begins Filth. “We have diversified and kept alive the spirit of this band and breathed it into something that I can proudly say, slays like an absolute motherf—er. The Manticore is coming … Long live the filth!” Check out Cradle of Filth’s captivatingly dark music video for ‘Frost on Her Pillow’ in the player below. Hatebreed to Release New Album in January 2013 Via Razor & Tie and Nuclear Blast

Razor & Tie Hatebreed , a Connecticut hardcore institution, have a new label home for their next album, due to drop in January 2013. The band has signed to Razor & Tie in North America, while Nuclear Blast will handle Hatebreed’s releases in European territories. Hatebreed have already finished their new studio album  – their sixth — which will see release in early winter, just in time to cure the January doldrums. It follows 2009′s self-titled release and the ‘For the Lions’ covers album, which also landed in 2009. Both of those records were issued via eOne. Frontman Jamey Jasta commented on the signing, saying, “We’re really excited to be working with such great people at both Razor & Tie and Nuclear Blast. We’ve made an awesome album and we’re chomping at the bit to get it out and hit the road. Global domination begins now.” The new album was co-produced by Hatebreed, Zeuss (who has worked with everyone from Suicide Silence to Shadows Fall ) and Josh Wilbur ( Lamb of God , Avenged Sevenfold ). Hatebreed plan to support the album with plenty of touring, including a stint on Lamb of God’s upcoming fall trek.
