Trent Reznor + Atticus Ross Win 2013 Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack

Michael Buckner, Getty Images Chalk up another award for Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor . The rocker, who has taken up film scoring in recent years, joined his musical partner Atticus Ross in winning the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for their work on the film ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.’ For Reznor and Ross, it was the continuance of a great musical partnership. The pair won the Best Original Score for Motion Picture at the 2010 Golden Globe Awards and the Academy Award for Best Original Score for their work on the film ‘The Social Network.’ Their work on ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ also earned them a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Score – Motion Picture. Reznor and Ross did not attend the Grammy pre-telecast ceremonies to accept their honor, though the Reznor did tweet , “Why thanks, y’all” shortly after their category was called. The Nine Inch Nails leader was one of the major rock winners during the early ceremonies, with Halestorm winning the Best Hard Rock / Metal Performance Grammy and The Black Keys winning for Best Rock Song for ‘Lonely Boy’ and Best Rock Album for ‘El Camino.’ Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach also won a Grammy for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical in the pre-telecast ceremony. Three Days Grace Offer Advance Stream of New Album ‘Transit of Venus’

Facebook: Three Days Grace ‘Transit of Venus,’ the fourth studio album from  Three Days Grace , is due out on Oct. 2, but fans can hear the entire album online now thanks to an advance stream on The debut single ‘Chalk Outline’ from the forthcoming disc, has been heating up radio and music charts alike. ‘Transit of Venus’ also includes a rendition of Michael Jackson’s ‘Give in To Me.’ In ’s exclusive interview with drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson, he talks about what Three Days Grace were going for with this new album. “This one is definitely a little tighter and more articulated. We wanted to take a different approach with this record, and we wanted to push the boundaries as far as our sound and what we’re singing about — dig a little bit deeper than a lot of the other rock bands that we’re hearing out there these days” says Sanderson. He goes on to say, “We thought outside the box a little bit and tried not to be as formulaic, experimenting with multiple layers … We wanted to have songs that felt more progressive … without alienating our original sound. We still sound like Three Days Grace, and we wanted to keep it real.” Three Days Grace will keep it real with a North American tour in support of ‘Transit of Venus,’ which starts in October. Kid Rock To Unleash New Album ‘Rebel Soul’ on November 19

Mary Ouellette, Kid Rock , the original ‘American Bad Ass,’ returns this fall with his new disc titled ‘Rebel Soul.’ Slated for a Nov. 19 release date, the new album marks Kid Rock’s follow up to his 2010 juggernaut ‘Born Free.’ ‘Let’s Ride’ has also been revealed as the title of the first single and according to the official Kid Rock website will be at radio imminently” so be on the lookout! Known for his genre-bending sensibilities Kid Rock can transform from rap-rock to Southern inspired blues over the course of just one song, but ‘Rebel Soul’ promises to be a “return to form” for Kid. The new disc was also produced by Kid Rock, who has a state of the art recording studio at his Detroit-area home. A few tracks have been confirmed for ‘Rebel Soul.’ In addition to ‘Let’s Ride,’ the disc will also include songs titled ‘Celebrate’ and ‘The Mirror,’ according to various sources. Kid Rock recently showed his support for for Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan at a fundraising event for Mitt Romney, and has also allowed the Romney camp to use his anthemic song ‘Born Free’ for their campaign.
