Love and Death vs. Voivod – Cage Match

The Canadian metal veterans of Voivod take the Cage Match by storm with their latest single ‘Mechanical Mind’ off of their brand new album ‘Target Earth,’ their 13th album overall and first since 2009′s ‘Infini.’ So, will Voivod and their ‘Mechanical Mind’ figure out a path to victory? Love and Death vs. Ghost – Cage Match

Ghost enter the matchup with their brand new track ‘Secular Haze’ off of their forthcoming record ‘Infestissumam.’ The new disc is produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Deftones, Death Angel) and will be released by Loma Vista Recordings. Love and Death vs. Avatar – Cage Match

Brian ‘Head’ Welch , who many of us may know as Korn’s former guitarist, has a new band Love and Death and they have recently released their debut album ‘Between Here & Lost.’ They enter the Cage Match with their latest track ‘I W8 4 U’ featuring For Today’s Mattie Montgomery. Love and Death have U.S. dates lined up for February and March, while Head is also slated to play some reunion shows with Korn this year. Swedish rockers Avatar take the Cage Match by storm with their new track ‘Smells Like a Freakshow’ off the band’s fourth studio album and first proper American release titled ‘Black Waltz.’ Avatar have tour dates with Sevendust and Lacuna Coil in February and solo dates set for March. Black Veil Brides vs. HIM – Cage Match

Finnish love metallers HIM heat things up with their latest single ‘Strange World’ off of their compilation disc ‘XX-Two Decades of Love Metal.’ The song itself was originally released by Kevin Grivois, known by the artist name Ké, in the ’90s. It’s said to be one of the personal favorites of HIM frontman Ville Valo. The band has dates for scheduled for some European festivals; go here to see dates. Halestorm vs. Nirvana Members + Paul McCartney – Cage Match

Former  Nirvana members Dave Grohl  and  Krist Novoselic  plus one-time touring member  Pat Smear  have teamed up with Beatles legend  Paul McCartney for the release of the collaborative track ‘Cut Me Some Slack.’ The song is off of the soundtrack to ‘Sound City,’ a documentary directed by Grohl.
