Poison’s Bret Michaels to Host Travel Channel’s ‘Rock My RV’ Series

Michael Buckner, Getty Images Poison frontman Bret Michaels has found his next television project, as he’s signed on to host the new Travel Channel Series ‘ Rock My RV ,’ which starts production in November. Michaels has a longtime love for RVs, and the Travel Channel is allowing him to join a skilled team of designers and fabricators in turning average, ordinary RVs into outrageous, badass mobile mansions. The series is scheduled to premiere on Travel Channel next year. Network GM Andy Singer says, “For the past 25 years, Bret Michaels has spent at least nine months out of the year in a tour bus that he personally designs from top to bottom. We couldn’t think of a better frontman than Bret for the series. He lives and breathes life on the road and undoubtedly holds the record for the most hours logged in a custom coach.” Michaels adds, “Between touring and traveling, I spend a lot of time on the road and my tricked-out, custom coach is my home away from home. I crisscross the country and live in my tour bus, and I know how to take an RV from ordinary to extraordinary. I can’t wait to put my expertise to use and show people how to make their RVs rock.” The vocalist has enjoyed a number of successful TV projects in recent years, beginning with his VH1 dating series ‘Rock of Love.’ He also let the cameras in on his personal life with the documentary series, ‘Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It.’ From there, he went on to become the winner on a season of Donald Trump’s series, ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ on which he’ll appear again this spring as part of the show’s all-star season. He’s also appeared on ‘Don’t Forget the Lyrics,’ the ‘Miss Universe’ pageant and ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,’ among other TV appearances. Jack Osbourne and Friend Rescue Drowning Woman in Hawaii

Michael Buckner, Getty Images As we recently reported, Jack Osbourne  got married  to Lisa Stelly over the weekend in Hawaii. And while that is certainly wonderful news, it just might be what Ozzy Osbourne ‘s son did days after wedding that is truly remarkable. Jack and his buddy  helped save the life of a woman who had a heart attack and started to drown in the surf on the Hawaii beach where he’s been enjoying his honeymoon. Jack’s new bride, Lisa Stelly, with whom he had a child earlier this year, broke the news via Twitter , where she told followers, “Really proud of Jack and his friend Tyler who saved a woman on the beach yesterday who’d had a heart attack and drown [sic].” She later followed with another status update, adding , “They resuscitated her until the ambulance came. We just found out she’s in a stable condition! Awesome!” Earlier this year, Jack revealed that the shocking news that he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis . It was then reported that NBC subsequently  fired him  from its reality series ‘Stars Earn Stripes’ shortly thereafter, but if anyone deserves a reality show, it just might be Jack. All the excitement also happened to take place around the same time  Sharon Osbourne  was celebrating her 60th birthday on her daytime show ‘The Talk.’ Jack appeared on the show with his baby Pearl via a video message, while Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne made surprise appearances in the flesh. Coheed and Cambria Explore ‘The Afterman’ Concept With Video Series

Michael Buckner, Getty Images Coheed and Cambria  have been known to pull out every stop to create an overall concept for their albums, but for ‘ The Afterman: Ascension ,’ singer Claudio Sanchez is at least preparing the band’s fans for the next chapter with a video series explanation. Those who follow the group know their dedication not only to the music but also in creating an interweaving story with the songs and overall discs that the listener can dig into deeper should they choose. The first of a nine-part explanation of the album’s concept has just surfaced, with Sanchez detailing through words and illustrations where we’re at when the latest musical chapter begins. “Our main character Cyrus Amory is about embark on this journey into the unknown,” reveals Sanchez. “He essentially discovers the energy source and what its relationship is to the planets and the doors are opening and in come these apparitions that I’m not sure that he can see, but the viewer can see that there is something mysterious and interesting coming through.” The first trailer, subtitled ‘The Hollow,’ can currently be seen at the band’s website , and further chapters revealing the concept’s details are expected to continue at least up to the release of ‘The Afterman: Ascension’ on Oct. 9.
