Black Sabbath + Slipknot to Headline Two-Day Ozzfest Japan

Not long after it was revealed that the band was planning an April 2013 release and Australian tour , the group was officially confirmed for Japan’s inaugural Ozzfest . They’ll headline night two on May 12 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, Japan, while Slipknot have now been confirmed to finish out night one on May 11. Sharon Osbourne recently announced the return of Ozzfest, stating, “ Ozzy [Osbourne] and I want to tell you that [in] May 2013, we’ll be bringing Ozzfest to Japan for the first time ever. We are so excited. Please be there because we love you Japan.” Osbourne has spent a good portion of the last year with the reunited Black Sabbath working on their first studio album together since 1978. The group had plans to tour last year, but settled for a handful of one-off performances while guitarist Tony Iommi recovered from chemotherapy dealing with his cancer. By the time Black Sabbath reaches Ozzfest, they will be plenty warmed up as the group just announced four shows in Australia in late April and early May. Slipknot, meanwhile, are on what Corey Taylor calls a “ hiatus ,” but the singer admitted that the group would be playing sparingly next year. Ozzfest now joins an appearance at the Download Festival . First-Ever Ozzfest Japan Set for 2013

OzzfestJapan.com Any band will tell you that it’s always a treat to tour Japan. The Japanese metal music fans are among the most passionate on the planet and are always rabid to see their favorite acts. Surely with the fans in mind, it has been officially announced that the famous Ozzfest will be making its first trip to Japan in May 2013. Ozzfest will be hitting Japan on May 11 & 12, 2013. No bands have been confirmed as of this posting, but the official Ozzfest Japan website has been launched, which features a video announcement straight from Sharon Osbourne , the festival organizer wife of Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne . “Ozzy and I want to tell you that [in] May 2013, we’ll be bringing Ozzfest to Japan for the first time ever,” begins Sharon. “We are so excited. Please be there because we love you, Japan.” In other intercontinental metal news, Sharon also recently told Australian radio station Triple M that Black Sabbath will be headed down under in 2013. “They are going to be touring here in the spring of next year, definitely.” Could that mean Sabbath are headlining Ozzfest Japan, as well? Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne to Appear on ‘CBS Sunday Morning’

Kevin Winter, Getty Images Heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon Osbourne, are set to appear on ‘CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood’ this weekend (Oct. 14). And don’t worry, you won’t have to miss any football to check it out. It seems as though Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have been swarmed by cameras non-stop for the last decade. As stars of the iconic celeb-reality program ‘The Osbournes,’ Ozzy and Sharon have dealt with some of their most devastating moments on film. On the Sunday morning show, the  Black Sabbath  singer tells  interviewer Lee Cowan,  “I watched my wife battle cancer for nine months, having three chemotherapy treatments for nine months. And every time she’d have her chemotherapy she’d get really whacked out and she’d be throwing up and seizures and all this. I was like, ‘I’m watching my wife die in front of the cameras.’” Sharon has been a TV personality on ‘The Sharon Osbourne Show’ both in the US and the UK, ‘The X Factor,’ ‘America’s Got Talent,’ ‘Rock of Love: Charm School,’ ‘Osbournes: Reloaded’ and ‘The Talk.’ Meanwhile, Ozzy and Sharon’s son Jack Osbourne recently married  Lisa Stelly in Hawaii last weekend, and a day later  saved a drowning swimmer . Jack also recently welcome his first child into the world, but was soon after diagnosed with multiple sclerosis . With all of these topics in the public eye, the interview with surely be a revealing one. Michael Buckner, Getty Images As we recently reported, Jack Osbourne  got married  to Lisa Stelly over the weekend in Hawaii. And while that is certainly wonderful news, it just might be what Ozzy Osbourne ‘s son did days after wedding that is truly remarkable. Jack and his buddy  helped save the life of a woman who had a heart attack and started to drown in the surf on the Hawaii beach where he’s been enjoying his honeymoon. Jack’s new bride, Lisa Stelly, with whom he had a child earlier this year, broke the news via Twitter , where she told followers, “Really proud of Jack and his friend Tyler who saved a woman on the beach yesterday who’d had a heart attack and drown [sic].” She later followed with another status update, adding , “They resuscitated her until the ambulance came. We just found out she’s in a stable condition! Awesome!” Earlier this year, Jack revealed that the shocking news that he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis . It was then reported that NBC subsequently  fired him  from its reality series ‘Stars Earn Stripes’ shortly thereafter, but if anyone deserves a reality show, it just might be Jack. All the excitement also happened to take place around the same time  Sharon Osbourne  was celebrating her 60th birthday on her daytime show ‘The Talk.’ Jack appeared on the show with his baby Pearl via a video message, while Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne made surprise appearances in the flesh. Ozzy Osbourne to Celebrate Wife Sharon’s 60th Birthday on ‘The Talk’

Amy Sussman, Getty Images Legendary Black Sabbath singer  Ozzy Osbourne is set to appear on the CBS daytime program ‘The Talk,’ which is co-hosted Ozzy’s wife, Sharon Osbourne . The Oct. 9 appearance is scheduled to celebrate Sharon’s 60th birthday and will feature appearances by family members, friends and some unique surprises. Along with ‘The Prince of Darkness,’ confirmed guests for Sharon Osbourne’s televised 60th birthday celebration include daughter and co-host of ‘Fashion Police,’ Kelly Osbourne, as well as Nick Cannon from ‘America’s Got Talent,’ on which Sharon has acted as one of its three judges. You may remember Sharon Osbourne’s on-air breakdown over her son  Jack Osbourne  earlier this year while co-hosting ‘The Talk.’ Jack had just been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and was soon invited as a guest on ‘The Talk’ to speak candidly about his condition. Jack Osbourne has not been officially confirmed to appear on ‘The Talk’ for his mother’s 60th birthday celebration, but since surprises have been promised by CBS, he very well may drop by.
