Rob Zombie Says He’ll Stop Making Music When It’s No Longer Fun

Kevin Winter, Getty Images Rob Zombie has two passions he’s been able to balance equally well in recent years — heading up his own rock band and growing his burgeoning career as a movie director. But Zombie is very aware of the burnout factor that may set in at some point in his life and has a plan in place if and when that happens. The rocker told Metal Hammer that there’s not any fear of having a period where he’s “going through the motions” because if that starts happening, he’ll just shut down whatever he’s doing. He explains, “I always stopped, like when White Zombie was miserable, when we were at the height of our fame, the shows were huge, it was a big arena tour, and I was just like, ‘I’m done. I can’t go onstage anymore and pretend like this is awesome.’” Zombie says of the potential for that happening in the future, “If I’m having fun, I’ll dedicate myself around the clock, but as soon as it’s not, I’m out. Kids think you’re doing things for money, but money became irrelevant a long time ago. It might be why a lot of people do it, but it’s not why I do anything.” Rob Zombie spent the fall touring with Marilyn Manson  on the excellent ‘Twins of Evil’ tour , which now makes its way to the U.K. for the remainder of November before exploring the rest of Europe in December. Lamb of God’s Upcoming Philadelphia Show To Be Broadcast Live on AXS TV

Epic Lamb of God  are currently on tour supporting their latest album ‘Resolution.’ Returning to where their DVD ‘Killadelphia’ was shot, the Nov. 24 show at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia will be broadcast live on AXS TV . It will air from 10PM until 11:15PM Eastern time. AXS TV interviewed the band, minus vocalist Randy Blythe, about the upcoming live broadcast (watch below) and other topics. In regard to the biggest misconception about Lamb of God, drummer Chris Adler answered, “That we’re nice,” and the whole band laughed. “I guess there is some stigma in what we do,” Adler continued. “But the guys in the band and in most metal bands I know are really a bunch of teddy bears. We get all that stuff out in the music. If we didn’t play we might be bigger jerks than we are. It’s surprising to find out how nice and meek most of these guys are.” One glaring omission from the nearly five minute interview with host Danielle Demski was any question about Blythe’s legal issues  following his imprisonment in the Czech Republic for alleged charges of manslaughter. In fact, the interview looks more like something out of ‘Entertainment Tonight’ or ‘Access Hollywood,’ which makes for some awkward moments. As part of the promotion for the broadcast, Lamb of God has given AXS TV a signed Willie Adler ESP guitar for a Facebook giveaway . Lamb of God’s ‘Resolution’ tour runs through December 16. In Flames and Sylosis are playing all dates. Hatebreed is on the bill until Nov. 19 when Hellyeah will take over for the remainder of the run. Watch Lamb of God Announcement and Interview

Chevelle Frontman Pete Loeffler Injures Knee in Frightening Stage Fall

Twitter: @ChevelleInc The stage can be a dangerous place, and Chevelle singer-guitarist Pete Loeffler found that out firsthand Monday night (Oct. 8) in Tucson when he took a tumble off the front of the stage. Ever the trooper, a hurting Loeffler managed to return to finish out the set after a brief intermission where he was deemed well enough to perform. He was seated for the remainder of the show. After the show, the vocalist headed off to the hospital and the X-rays showed no broken bones. However, Loeffler did have plenty of swelling and was given a knee brace to keep things stable. After getting the singer checked out, the band tweeted: Thanks to the fans who stuck around after Pete damaged his knee bad tonight. Exclusive: The Last Vegas Go Acoustic

Amy Aiello Photography The Last Vegas are bringing back a down-and-dirty sound to rock ‘n’ roll with their latest album ‘Bad Decisions.’ The Chicago-based rockers recently stopped by our office to perform a couple of acoustic tracks off the new disc, as well as a favorite from their previous album, ‘Whatever Gets You Off.’ As for the new album, singer Chad Cherry tells us, “If you’re a rock ‘n’ roll fan, you’re gonna really like [‘Bad Decisions’]. It’s a little more raw than our last record, a little rough around the edges and a little catchier.” If you’re new to the Last Vegas, Cherry has this to say about their vibe: “We go on the road with the likes of Motley Crue, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Buckcherry, so if you’re a fan of hard rock, you’re gonna be a fan of the Last Vegas.” The Last Vegas have a handful of dates scheduled for the remainder of the year, with a CD release show set for their hometown of Chicago on Friday, Oct. 5.
