Twitter: @ChevelleInc The stage can be a dangerous place, and Chevelle singer-guitarist Pete Loeffler found that out firsthand Monday night (Oct. 8) in Tucson when he took a tumble off the front of the stage. Ever the trooper, a hurting Loeffler managed to return to finish out the set after a brief intermission where he was deemed well enough to perform. He was seated for the remainder of the show. After the show, the vocalist headed off to the hospital and the X-rays showed no broken bones. However, Loeffler did have plenty of swelling and was given a knee brace to keep things stable. After getting the singer checked out, the band tweeted: Thanks to the fans who stuck around after Pete damaged his knee bad tonight. Photo by Anne Erickson Hollywood Undead and former vocalist Deuce didn’t part on the best of terms, but the singer alleges that things only escalated after he left the band with at least two of the band members beating him up outside of a Hollywood club. As a result, the vocalist has now taken legal action against his former bandmates. TMZ reports that after sharing the story of the attack earlier this year , Deuce consulted with attorneys and is ready to move forward with a lawsuit against his former cohorts claiming assault and battery. Following the incident, the singer told Loudwire , “You know when six guys come up and go after you, when you’re drunk – I don’t really see that as a tough lose. If they want to grab one person and I grab one person, I’m a small dude I weigh 140 pounds, if they want to go one on one fine – not six guys jumpin’ you out of nowhere. I don’t know what kind of move that is.” Deuce cited Dylan “FunnyMan” Alvarez and Jorel “J-Dog” Decker in his police report earlier this year, claiming that the pair continually punched and kicked him outside the Angels & Kings club in Hollywood on May 25. He’s suing for unspecified damages. The vocalist also claimed that there were a pair of men videotaping the attack as he was being beaten. Frank Micelotta / Theo Wargo, Getty Images “ It’s better to burn out than to fade away ” may be one of Neil Young ‘s most quotable lyrics, but the singer says that he’s still haunted by the fact that the ‘Hey Hey, My My’ quip resonated so much with Kurt Cobain that the late Nirvana singer quoted it in his suicide note. Young says in his ‘Waging Heavy Peace’ book, “When he died and left that note, it struck a deep chord inside of me. It f—ed with me.” Young, who many had nicknamed the “Godfather of Grunge” not only for his look but his songs, said he had tried to reach out to the vocalist prior to his death in order to talk to him about his issues. The singer says, “I wanted to talk to him. Tell him only to play when he felt like it.” The fact that they never got to speak affected Young, but hearing his lyric quoted back in the note took his regret to a whole new level. Young channeled his feelings into the ‘Sleeps With Angels’ title track in 1994. Young, who had his own issues with drink and drugs, revealed earlier this month that he had given up alcohol and smoking marijuana. It’s been a productive year for the singer, who issued the ‘Americana’ album earlier this year, has the ‘ Psychedelic Pill ‘ disc arriving at the end of October, and also has the ‘Waging Heavy Peace’ autobiography on the horizon. Century Media Records The British djent band TesseracT has employed several different vocalists during their short tenure, with Ashe O’Hara being announced as the band’s latest singer. O’Hara follows Daniel Tompkins, who appeared on the group’s 2011 debut disc, ‘One,’ and Elliot Coleman, who sang on the recent E.P. ‘Perspective.’ O’Hara, who previously provided session work for primarily ambient/alternative projects, says he’s happy to be part of TesseracT. “I have always been an admirer of their work so it’s pretty awesome to be passed such a challenging flame,” says the vocalist. “I am very aware of the anticipation and I am certainly feeling the weight of it; but I am equally excited for what shall be an amazing and s–thot experience!” The band commented, “We realize that the vocalist search seemed like it took a long time, but we wanted to make sure that we found someone who was a perfect fit both on stage and in the studio and Ashe is just that. We very much appreciate the patience and support our fans have shown us and look forward to the next TesseracT chapter.” O’Hara can currently be heard on a teaser of the song ‘Nocturne’ (posted below) from the band’s upcoming sophomore release. Spencer Kaufman, Loudwire Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong may have to put aside some of the band’s promotional activities while he enters rehab for substance abuse , but his appearance as a mentor on NBC’s hit music competition ‘ The Voice ‘ won’t be one of them. Deadline reports that the musician, who was recently announced as a mentor for Christina Aguilera ‘s team, will still be part of the upcoming episodes. “We’re taped and all set,” an NBC representative stated about Billie Joe’s time on the program, which was filmed over the summer and will air in the upcoming weeks. It was a rough weekend for the vocalist, who suffered an onstage meltdown in Las Vegas Friday night after noticing the band’s set time was running low. The vocalist stopped a song to go on a tirade that included numerous expletive-filled outbursts and ended with Armstrong smashing his guitar and flipping off those he felt were responsible for the time constraint. By Sunday, the group had offered a statement that Armstrong was entering rehab to seek treatment for substance abuse. They also apologized for Friday’s outburst at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas and clarified that their set had not been cut short by organizers. After starting the year with a cocaine possession charge, the vocalist was arrested again today (Sept. 4) after getting into an argument with a flight attendant that led to an emergency landing. TMZ reports that the singer was arrested earlier Tuesday (Sept. 4) after allegedly becoming drunkenly combative with the flight attendant. The Austin Police Department reports
