Drowning Pool, ‘One Finger and a Fist’ Lyric Video – Exclusive Premiere

Facebook: Drowning Pool It looks as though Drowning Pool  are maintaining their aggression with new singer Jasen Moreno leading the way. The new track ‘One Finger and a Fist’ is an amped up rocker and Drowning Pool are exclusively premiering the lyric video for the song right here at Loudwire. ‘One Finger and a Fist’ could arguably be one of the band’s most confrontational songs, boasting the lyrics, “ I’ve got news for you / you’re not the first one, won’t be the last / Won’t take abuse from you / I see you run, son, you’re running fast .” The band also states in the chorus, “ One finger and a fist / I’ll claw my way out any situation .” For the video, the lyrics fly at the viewer at rapid speed while set against the backdrop of computer generated visual effects mimicking hands, arms and a certain finger that appear occasionally independent of a full body. ‘One Finger and a Fist’ was offered as a free download for a limited period back in December. It’s also one of the key tracks to their first album with Moreno on vocals. Other cuts that have been heard since Moreno took over include ‘In Memory Of …, ‘ a song that was issued as a tribute to the band’s original frontman, the late Dave Williams, and their recent single, ‘ Saturday Night .’ Drowning Pool will hit the road  in February, sharing the stage with another act employing a new vocalist — Flyleaf . The trek runs through March 24. Details on Drowning Pool’s new album are expected very shortly. Pantera vs. Drowning Pool – 2013 Loudwire Rock Bowl, Round 1

There may be no more testosterone-fueled pairing in our 2013 Loudwire Rock Bowl than this one. On one hand you’ve got the in-your-face aggression of Pantera versus the all-out brutality of Drowning Pool , and you get to determine which band’s track gets you more fired up for football. Pantera’s ‘F—ing Hostile’ is exactly what the name says. Between the amped up guitar play of Dimebag Darrell and the speedy drumming of Vinnie Paul , there’s no way this song could do anything but get you hyped up into some sort of frenzy. Add in Phil Anselmo ‘s lyrics of aggression and you’ve got the makings of a song that gives you pent up energy to spare. Meanwhile, Drowning Pool’s ‘Bodies’ has long been associated with sporting events due to the aggressive nature of its lyrics. With late vocalist Dave Williams’ repetitive chorus begging, “ Let the bodies hit the floor/ Let the bodies hit the floor ,” this song seems the perfect fit to soundtrack a massive collision, or, at the very least, to unleash some pent up fury. So which one of these high-energy rockers will advance in the 2013 Loudwire Rock Bowl? You tell us. Listen to both tracks below, then vote for your favorite in the poll provided. Drowning Pool Unleash ‘Saturday Night’ Video

Facebook – Drowning Pool Drowning Pool ‘s as-yet-untitled fifth studio album is due in early 2013, and in advance of its release, the video for the new song ‘Saturday Night’ has been unveiled (watch below). The song features Drowning Pool’s new vocalist Jasen Moreno, who made his live debut as Ryan McCombs’ replacement earlier this summer. Moreno says, “I am extremely happy and very grateful to be a part of the Drowning Pool family. Everyone’s been so welcoming, especially the fans. I can’t praise them enough. They’ve made me feel right at home. This first run of live shows couldn’t have gone any better!” ‘Saturday Night’ is anthemic and very melodic. The video features the band performing in the middle of a crowd of fans and intersperses shots of a party, scantily clad women and other things that happen when you live your life like it’s Saturday night. Bassist Stevie Benton talked about the track with Noisecreep . “The question I am most often asked is ‘What’s life on tour like?’ This song is my best description of a typical day on the road.” The band’s new album is being produced by Kato Khandwala (Cold, Taylor Momsen). Drowning Pool’s best known song is their 2001 hit ‘Bodies,’ which was recently named one of Loudwire’s Top 21st Century Hard Rock Songs . Watch Drowning Pool – ‘Saturday Night’ Video
