Facebook: Suicide Silence The cameras will be rolling when the members of Suicide Silence and their all-star lineup of guest vocalists team up for a memorial concert to salute the band’s late singer, Mitch Lucker . The vocalist died in a motorcycle crash Halloween night and the idea of the show is to not only pay tribute to the singer, but to also raise money for the future education of Lucker’s daughter, Kenadee. The ‘ Ending Is the Beginning: Mitch Lucker Memorial ‘ event will take place tomorrow night (Dec. 21) at the Fox Theater in Pomona, Calif. and a majority of the lineup has been revealed. Hellyeah ‘s Chad Gray , As I Lay Dying ‘s Tim Lambesis and All Shall Perish ‘s Eddie Hermida were the first names revealed for the event. In the weeks since, Asking Alexandria ‘s Danny Worsnop, Whitechapel ‘s Phil Bozeman, Winds of Plague ‘s Johnny Plague, Of Mice & Men ‘s Austin Carlile, Impending Doom ‘s Brook Reeves, After the Burial’s Anthony Notarmaso, Disfiguring the Goddess’ Cameron “Big Chocolate” Argon, former Bury Your Dead musician Myke Terry and ex-Suffokate member Ricky Hoover have also joined the bill. The band did state via their Facebook page that the show will be shot for a future DVD release and that there would be some “big names” that were not revealed in advance of the show. November 26th, 2012 Metalkult Mary Ouellette, SheWillShootYou.com The surviving members of Suicide Silence have announced a special benefit show for Mitch Lucker’s family this December, and all of the proceeds from the concert will go toward the education of Lucker’s 5-year-old daughter, Kenadee. The band will perform live, and a different singer will fill in for Lucker for each song. No word yet on who these special vocalists will be, but we’ll keep you posted. The band made the announcement was made this past weekend at the California Metalfest, where the surviving band members took the stage to address the crowd. Watch the fan-filmed footage of the announcement below. The show is set for the Fox Theater in Pomona, Calif., on Dec. 21, and it will be at least the fourth benefit effort since Lucker’s death. Hopefully the funds raised at this gig, along with the other benefits, will help fund Lucker’s surviving family members for the future as they deal with this tragedy. Lucker passed away on Nov. 1 at age 28 after sustaining injuries in a motorcycle crash in Huntington Beach, Calif., on Halloween night. The rock community has rallied around the Lucker family and the Unite the United charitable organization is the latest to help out. Unite the United was started by Warped and Mayhem Tour founders Kevin Lyman and John Reese, and they’ve decided to hold an auction with all the proceeds going to benefit young Kenadee Lucker, the singer’s daughter. Lyman and Reese said in a statement: We are all in shock about the sudden and tragic death of Mitch Lucker of Suicide Silence. Although the world and our lives will move on, he leaves behind a beautiful daughter, Kenadee, who will need the support that he promised her, and sadly will not be able to fulfill. With that said, we feel his music family from the Vans Warped Tour and Rockstar Mayhem Festival can step up to help in the best way we can and that is to dedicate our winter charity auction proceeds to a trust fund for her future education and care. The 28-year-old metal vocalist passed away on Halloween night in California from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident. He leaves behind a wife and daughter. Lucker’s bandmates in Suicide Silence have been among those most in shock over the tragic death, and bassist Dan Kenny took the lead in reaching out to the band’s fan base from the ceremony with a tweet. The vocalist struck a light pole on Halloween night while riding his 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle, dying from his injuries early the next morning. In memory of Mitch Lucker and for the benefit of his 5-year-0ld daughter Kenadee, Suicide Silence have started an official donation page with all proceeds going towards Kenadee’s education fund.
