Courtney Love Working on Kurt Cobain Documentary With Acclaimed Filmmaker

Pier Marco Tacca / Frank Micelotta, Getty Images Courtney Love  has set the wheels in motion on a documentary about her late husband Kurt Cobain . She has reached out to filmmaker Brett Morgen , the man behind the current  Rolling Stones  documentary ‘Crossfire Hurricane,’ to oversee a project based on the life of the late  Nirvana  frontman Morgen told the New York Post’s Page Six that he’s already planning out his Cobain documentary with the blessing of Love. He explained, “Courtney is the one that brought me into this. We’ve been trying to find the right time to put this film together and the time is now.” The documentarian went on to add, “Kurt was not only an amazing songwriter and musician, he was an incredible artist and filmmaker. So we are going to do the movie sort of like a third-person autobiography — as if Kurt was around and making a film about his life.” There were recent rumors that Love was interested in telling Cobain’s story on Broadway or as part of a musical film, but she later shot down talk of those projects happening. Frances Bean Cobain Apparently Claims Home Intruder Was Trying to Kill Her Fiance

Twitter: alka_seltzer666 Frances Bean Cobain has apparently created a new Twitter account to reveal what she says is the true story behind the motivations of the man recently  arrested for breaking into her home . While not completely confirmed, the new Twitter account, alka_seltzer666 , seems to be authentic as it does contain two new Instagram pictures of Frances Bean looking very much like a cross between her father, late  Nirvana  frontman  Kurt Cobain , and her mother, Courtney Love. Tweeting that “the police aren’t doing their jobs and have released inaccurate information” regarding the case, Frances Bean went on to explain “this situation is far more serious than a ‘transient’ wandering into my home & eating my food.,” as had been reported , but an obsessed, homicidal fan of her late father. “We later found out that he considers my fiancé a ‘problem’ and planed [sic] to kill him,” continued  Frances Bean. “The intruder wrote my fiancé’s first & last name out in his journal with the words ‘Kill’ circled and pointing to his name.” It’s the type of incident that would make a lot of people want to just curl up in a little ball for awhile, but Cobain isn’t about to let the situation resolve itself quietly — as she put it , “I figure releasing this information directly to the public will garner media attention & hopefully will mean that this b—— f—– won’t have the opportunity to be released from jail & can’t hurt those i love because of his obsession with someone i’m related to.” All of the above quoted material assumes that Frances Bean is the rightful owner of the specified Twitter account. Again, this is not confirmed. The suspect, 22-year-old Mark James Franco, pleaded not guilty to charges of first degree burglary. He was reported to have been doing laundry and helping himself to food when a Frances Bean relative discovered him in the Los Angeles home. Intruder in Frances Bean Cobain Home Invasion Charged With First Degree Burglary

Hedi Slimane Over the weekend, we reported that a man was arrested for breaking into Frances Bean Cobain ’s home in Los Angeles. Now, not only has that man has been formally charged, some strange details have emerged surrounding the case. According to TMZ , the intruder who broke into Cobain’s home on Oct. 13 was 22-year-old Mark James Franco. Police report that Franco is a homeless man who was found brazenly doing his laundry when he was discovered at the home. The daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love wasn’t home at the time of the crime. The uninvited guest was discovered by a relative taking care of Cobain’s dog while she was out of town. The intruder claimed to have known the home owner, but when Frances Bean was contacted, she told authorities she had no idea who he was. Franco was charged with first degree burglary, a crime that could land him a six year prison stay if convicted. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. The famously quiet Cobain has not yet publicly commented on the situation. Man Arrested After Breaking Into Frances Bean Cobain’s Los Angeles Home

Photo by Hedi Slimane Despite being the child of one of rock’s most famous frontmen, Frances Bean Cobain has managed to maintain a relatively low profile. However, the late Kurt Cobain ‘s 20-year-old daughter seems to pop into headlines every once in a while for reasons of which she has no control. On Saturday (Oct. 13), a man was arrested for breaking into Frances Bean’s Los Angeles home after a house sitter discovered him inside the dwelling, reports TMZ . The suspect, a white man in his 20s, told the house sitter that he was there with Frances Bean’s permission. However, when cops arrived at the Hollywood Hills home and reached out to Frances Bean, she told them she had no idea who he was. The man was subsequently arrested for burglary and remains in custody. Earlier this year, Franced Bean unwittingly made headlines when her mother, Courtney Love , accused Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl of hitting on her daughter. Love later apologized  to her daughter after both Frances Bean and Grohl lashed out at the claims. In the summer of 2011, after being out of the spotlight for several years, Frances Bean emerged in an edgy photo spread. See the stunning pictures here . Jay-Z: Kurt Cobain ‘Stopped Hip-Hop for a Second’

Jason Kempin / Frank Micelotta, Getty Images The grunge scene of the early ’90s has been credited for flipping the music world on its ear and effectively shoving the hair metal dominance of the late ’80s to the side. However, grunge’s takeover didn’t just affect hair metal, and rapper Jay-Z says in a new interview that even the growing popularity of hip-hop stalled out a little bit when Nirvana came to prominence. In the new coffee-table book ‘Pharrell: The Places and Spaces,’ (excerpted by Spin ) singer-producer Pharrell Williams interviewed rap icon and music mogul Jay-Z, who recalls in particular what an important record Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ was in the history of music. Jay-Z says, “First we’ve got to go back to before grunge and why grunge happened. Hair bands dominated the airwaves and rock became more about looks than about actual substance and what it stood for – the rebellious spirit of youth … That’s why ‘Teen Spirit’ rang so loud because it was right on point with how everyone felt, you know what I’m saying?” The rapper adds, “It was weird because hip-hop was becoming this force, then grunge music stopped it for one second, ya know? Those hair bands were too easy for us to take out. When Kurt Cobain came with that statement, it was like, ‘We’ve got to wait awhile.’” Jay-Z says that while keeping an eye on the big picture, he’s always been fascinated by the acts that emerge as a powerful force, regardless of the genre. He adds, “When those forces come on the scene, they are inescapable – can’t take your eyes off them, can’t stop listening to them. [Cobain] was one of those figures. I knew we had to wait for a second before we became that dominate force in music.” The ‘Pharrell: The Places and Spaces I’ve Been’ book is due Oct. 16.
