Spencer Kaufman, Loudwire While Green Day dropped the unfortunate bomb earlier this week that they have to cancel all upcoming tour dates in 2012 and postpone most of their upcoming tour dates in January and February to allow their lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong to focus on his recovery from substance abuse, the band also offered up some good news, in the form of a new video for the song ‘The Forgotten.’ Although the band is one-third of the way through their release of a series of three new discs ‘¡Uno!,’ ‘¡Dos!,’ and ‘¡Tre!’ in the coming months, ‘The Forgotten’ can be found on the upcoming soundtrack for ‘ The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 .’ The soundtrack is due out on Nov. 13, a few days prior to the movie hitting the big screen. Kicking off on piano, musically ‘The Forgotten’ slow things down a little for the trio with the vampire meets pop-punk video showing off the softer side of Green Day. The clip, sure to appeal to both Green Day and ‘Twilight’ fans offers up a montage of alternating clips from the upcoming movie and bits of footage of Green Day in the studio and on the stage. Fans are already weighing in with feedback about the new song with comments like, “I love this, it’s so beautiful,” and “Amazing song!” Check it out below for yourself. Marilyn Manson’s Rendition of ‘This Is Halloween’ Powers Freaky Light Show
YouTube: EdwardsLandingLights Halloween officially holds second place in the ongoing competition of holidays where people put stuff on their lawn. Although Christmas is still the top dog, we’ll still take pure evil over that whole ‘joy and cheer’ stuff in December. We recently posted about a Texas home that boasts a Halloween light show based on the Ozzy Osbourne classic ‘ Bark at the Moon ,’ but we’ve got a new one for you from the shock rocker Marilyn Manson and his cover of ‘This Is Halloween.’ Originally from the iconic animated film ‘A Nightmare Before Christmas,’ the song ‘This Is Halloween’ was given the Manson treatment for the 13th anniversary re-release of the movie’s soundtrack. The master light-smith that created this display used over 8,500 lights and roughly 250 channels of computer animation to create the three-and-a-half minute terror show, which includes singing Jack-O-Lantern faces, neon graves, spacey lights and epileptic assaults of multicolored insanity. Additionally, the same homeowner recently had a ‘Gangnam Style’ light show video go viral on YouTube. Check out this awesome suburban horror light show in the video below: Marilyn Manson, ‘This is Halloween’ Light Show [button href=”http://loudwire.com/charles-manson-writes-open-letter-to-marilyn-manson-from-prison/” title=”Next: Charles Manson Writes Open Letter to Marilyn Manson” align=”center”]

Marilyn Manson Discusses ‘Born Villain’ Special Edition + Touring With Rob Zombie
Mary Ouellette, SheWillShootYou.com Marilyn Manson is ready to let fans dig a little deeper into his “villainous” mind. The singer has revealed that there will be a special edition of the ‘ Born Villain ‘ album coming this fall. While the vocalist didn’t reveal an exact release date, he did tell Billboard it would be “shortly before the holiday” and that it would come with two or possibly three additional tracks and special packaging. Manson added, “They’re not just acoustic versions or demos or stuff like that. They’re really good songs that were going to go on the album, but I didn’t want the album to be too long. I knew there would be the opportunity to use them for something.” The singer says he expects the deluxe edition packaging to come with additional artwork that may come in book form. Meanwhile, Manson has returned to the road for the fall months, sharing stages with Rob Zombie on the ‘ Twins of Evil ‘ co-headlining tour. Manson says, “It’s just an obvious tour. I’m surprised we haven’t done it before, but we hadn’t. I think it’s gonna be great.” He adds, “[I think it’s] a good match because he does the comic book/slasher element of horror or whatever you might call our cinematic sort of view of music, and I handle the more psychological and political. He might be more ‘Halloween,’ the movie; I’m more of ‘The Manchurian Candidate’ or ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ – two different outlooks on things.” [button href=”http://loudwire.com/marilyn-manson-the-fight-song-top-21st-century-hard-rock-songs/” title=”Next: Marilyn Manson: Top 21st Century Hard Rock Songs” align=”center”]
