Stone Sour vs. Tremonti – Cage Match

Creed  /  Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti has had much success with his solo project, aptly titled Tremonti. The new single ‘Wish You Well’ off of their debut album ‘All I Was’ heats things up in this Cage Match round with a short film / music video for the track, which can be seen below. Tremonti have a handful of U.S. shows in February and March; go here for a full list of dates and cities. Papa Roach Frontman Jacoby Shaddix on Making ‘The Connection,’ Sober Living + More

Liz Ramanand, Loudwire Papa Roach have proven that they are ‘Still Swingin’ with their latest album ‘The Connection’ and their recent co-headlining tour with Stone Sour . During the New York City stop of the trek, Loudwire had the chance to sit down with Papa Roach singer Jacoby Shaddix , who chatted with us about how his vocal cords are feeling after surgery, living a sober lifestyle and more. The frontman talks about moving forward in a positive way, saying, ‘I can’t sit in the past and dwell on the past. Device enter the cage with their debut single ‘Vilify’ off of the upcoming self-titled album, due April 9. Fronted by Disturbed singer David Draiman, Device’s forthcoming disc will feature heavy hitting collaborations with Serj Tankian, Geezer Butler, Lzzy Hale, M. Shadows and many others. Korn, Motley Crue + Kiss Headline 2013 Rock Fest

Officials revealed most of the lineup Monday morning (Feb. 18), with one mystery headliner yet to be named, but the four-day festival should provide a great mixture of rock’s most-respected vets and the new guard of in-demand hard rock acts. According to the Leader Telegram , the mystery headliner will head up the opening night bill on July 18, with support from Seether , Halestorm , All That Remains and Aranda . Korn front the bill on July 19, with the Offspring , Theory of a Deadman , Pop Evil and In This Moment also taking part. The Saturday July 20 bill is headlined by Kiss, with support from Megadeth , Stone Sour , Hellyeah and Warrant . The final night (Sunday, July 21) has Motley Crue finishing out the music weekend, preceded by Whitesnake , Skillet , Device and Otherwise . Rock Fest runs July 18-21 at The Venue in Cadott, Wis. Stone Sour’s ‘Do Me a Favor’ Makes Concert Debut in Tucson

Liz Ramanand, Loudwire Stone Sour  showcased their upcoming ‘House of Gold & Bones Part 2′ disc by performing the new single ‘Do Me a Favor’ live for the first time at a concert in Tucson, Ariz., this week. The group chose to break out the track this past Tuesday (Feb. 12) during their stop in Tucson on their current North American trek with Papa Roach . The band has been heavily promoting the ‘ House of Gold & Bone, Part 1 ‘ album on their touring, but with ‘Do Me a Favor’ breaking the ice and ‘ House of Gold & Bones Part 2 ‘ arriving in April, look for potentially more songs to work their way into Stone Sour’s festival sets in the coming months. Stone Sour recently released ‘Do Me a Favor’ as a digital single, with plans for a music video to soon follow. In the interim, the group has posted a lyric video for the track to keep fans occupied. ‘House of Gold and Bones Part 2′ is due in April. Meanwhile, the group’s current North American tour winds up this weekend in Denver. The Offspring, 3 Doors Down + Stone Sour Headline Inaugural Fort Rock Festival

The lineup for this year’s event features such top acts as the  Offspring , 3 Doors Down and Stone Sour leading the way. In addition, organizers have revealed that Papa Roach , Volbeat , In This Moment , Escape the Fate , Device , Pop Evil , Otherwise , Mindset Evolution and more will take part in the event, which takes place at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers April 14. Additional acts will join the festival as well and the bands will be divided up into the Main Stage and the Jagermeister Second Stage. Fort Rock comes from Danny Wimmer Presents and AEG Live, part of the team that has produced the Rock on the Range, Carolina Rebellion and Welcome to Rockville festivals. Tickets for the Fort Rock Festival go on sale Saturday, Feb. 23 at 6AM ET at the event’s website . There will also be special VIP and hotel packages available as well.
