New Music Releases – February 2013

RCA There is some essential listening about to hit fans on February 2013, and here is a guide of the rock and metal albums you need to check out next month. Welsh metalcore giants Bullet for My Valentine are set to release their fourth studio album, ‘Temper Temper,’ on Feb. 12 … of course right in time for Valentine’s Day. The band ventured all the way to Thailand in order to track the record, purposely taking themselves out of their comfort zone for the writing and recording process. Brutal death metal legends Suffocation will bash your skull in with ‘Pinnacle of Bedlam’ in February with an album that successfully captures the heaviness of their live performance better than any of their past efforts. Maynard James Keenan ‘s Puscifer will also unveil new material in February with the collective’s next eclectic opus ‘Donkey Punch the Night.’ Other releases for Feb. 2013 include The Bronx’s ‘IV,’ Buckcherry ‘s ‘Confessions,’ Shai Hulud’s ‘Reach Beyond the Sun,’ RED ‘s ‘Release the Panic’ and many more. Bullet for My Valentine Reveal ‘Temper Temper’ Album Artwork

RCA Bullet for My Valentine recently revealed that their latest studio album, ‘ Temper Temper ,’ would be arriving on Feb. 11 and now we know what the album cover art looks like. The band has unveiled the artwork (see the image on the left) for their forthcoming release and it shows a darker side to the album’s title. Given that the title ‘Temper Temper’ suggests some hot-headedness, the imagery of a pair of bloody hands, palms up, is a striking one. The pose is almost mindful of a person who is looking down upon their hands contemplating the dastardly deed they’ve done, though we never actually see the person’s face. So far, the group has served up the album’s title track and a second single ‘ Riot ‘ to check out in advance of the disc’s release, but it is not known how those songs compare to the rest of the record. In addition, the band has also unleashed a music video for ‘Temper Temper,’ giving at least some visual representation of the song. Bullet for My Valentine fans have had to wait a little while for a new disc, as singer Matt Tuck spent much of 2012 balancing his time between Bullet and his other hard-edged band, AxeWound , who toured and released their debut disc last year. Tuck says having the other group did affect Bullet for My Valentine’s latest effort, explaining , “We approached the record a lot differently this time around. It was more inspired by the way I did the AxeWound record and that was basically: get in the studio and write and record as you went along.” Look for ‘Temper Temper’ in stores Feb. 11; you can also pre-order the disc here . Bullet for My Valentine Go Behind the Scenes of New Album ‘Temper Temper’ – Exclusive Video

RCA Records Bullet for My Valentine are gearing up to release their fourth album, ‘Temper Temper,’ in February 2013, and Loudwire is proud to present a behind-the-scenes look at the Welsh rockers in the studio. The band recently released the title track as the first single and video off the album, and the tune can be heard throughout this behind-the-scenes clip, which features frontman Matt Tuck and producer Don Gilmore discussing the disc. In this exclusive video clip (watch below), Tuck says that BFMV’s recording process on this album was inspired in part by his work in his recent side project AxeWound. “We approached the record a lot differently this time around,” explains the frontman. “It was kind of more inspired by the way I did the AxeWound record. And that was basically: Get in the studio and write and record as you went along.” Tuck goes on to reveal that BFMV went to Thailand with no demos, and wrote and recorded the album on the spot. Bullet for My Valentine’s ‘Temper Temper’ drops Feb. 12, 2013. Fans who pre-order the album here  will receive an instant download of the title track. Bullet for My Valentine Unleash Music Video for ‘Temper Temper’

Bullet for My Valentine fans know that the band  recently announced  that their much-anticipated new full-length album, ‘Temper Temper,’ will arrive on Feb. 11, 2012, via Sony Music. Now, we have a new music video from the Welsh metallers for ‘Temper Temper.’ The song will be released via all major digital outlets on Nov. 25. Watch the video, which features one terrifying schoolroom of misfits, below. It was just a few months ago when Bullet for My Valentine’s Matt Tuck broke the news to Kerrang! that recording sessions for the new album were in full swing. “We’ve still got seven songs left to track vocally, but the other seven are done. So we’re seven songs in, and we listened to them in the car on the way up as well cause we wanted to show a few people and see what they thought and everyone was like, ‘Wow!’ So it’s an exciting, exciting time for everybody.” For ‘Temper Temper,’ the guys once again hit up producer Don Gilmore ( Linkin Park , Deftones ), who twiddled the knobs on the band’s last album, 2010’s ‘Fever.’ The set was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge of Deftones and Nickelback fame. Bullet for My Valentine Announce New Album Title + Release Date

Sony Bullet for My Valentine are finally picking things up again with the announcement that their next album has a title — ‘Temper Temper’ — and also has a Feb. 11 release date. Not so coincidentally, Bullet for My Valentine also has a new single called ‘Temper Temper’ as well. It recently debuted online and is expected to arrive as a download next month. The ‘Temper Temper’ album finds the band reuniting with Don Gilmore, the producer behind their 2010 release ‘Fever.’ Earlier this year, singer Matt Tuck revealed that the band had been working on new music in Thailand . It’s been a pretty busy year for Tuck, who has also spent time recording and touring with his new project, AxeWound . The group recently issued their debut disc, ‘Vultures.’ That, combined with the fact that guitarist Michael “Padge” Paget recently underwent back surgery , may have had something to do with the album arriving in 2013 rather than this year. Paget had his surgery after the album was complete, and has been spending his time recuperating. NME reports that Bullet for My Valentine will hit the road shortly after the album’s release as four shows have already been announced in their native U.K. Stops include Birmingham’s O2 Academy (March 12), Glasgow’s O2 Academy (March 13), Manchester’s O2 Apollo (March 15), and London’s Roundhouse (March 17).
