Pop Evil Unleash New Single ‘Trenches’ Off Upcoming Album ‘Onyx’

eOne Pop Evil are literally just wrapping up their new album, but the band is so excited about the disc that they’ve already decided to share some new music. The group just took to their Facebook page to debut the new single ‘Trenches,’ which can also be heard in the player below. The hard-driving track is filled with powerful drumming, some chugging guitar riffs and frontman Leigh Kakaty’s in-your-face belting about coming out of the trenches and being ready for a fight. The vocalist says about the song, “It’s about our battles. Not focusing on the things we can’t control, if we really want to be a band that stands the test of time we have to write the music that connects. We have to dig our way out of the trenches.” Pop Evil also revealed that the title of their forthcoming album will be ‘Onyx.’ The disc is due May 14 and the band is ready to carry the flag for rock ‘n’ roll again. They state, “It’s a matter of time before rock ‘n’ roll is in the forefront again and we want to be part of that.” ‘Onyx’ follows 2011′s ‘War of Angels’ album, which featured the singles ‘Last Man Standing,’ ‘Save the World,’ ‘Monster You Made’ and ‘Boss’s Daughter.’ Take a listen to the ‘Trenches’ single below and if you like what you hear, it’s available for purchase on iTunes here . Best Rob Zombie Album – Readers Poll

Frazer Harrison, Getty Images Rob Zombie has been releasing music since 1987, providing us with memorable tracks as a solo artist and as the frontman for White Zombie . Today’s Readers Poll asks you — Rob Zombie fans — what is the best album the singer has released? We’ll start with the early Rob Zombie years, when he was fronting White Zombie. The band’s 1987 debut, ‘Soul-Crusher,’ was described as noise rock by many critics. With tracks like ‘Drowning the Colossus,’ ‘Die Zombie Die’ and ‘Future Shock’ leading the way, admiration for the disc has only grown since its release. That was followed by their 1989 effort, ‘Make Them Die Slowly.’ Their sophomore set found them dipping more into thrash metal but admittedly the band was not completely happy with the outcome. The group’s frustration with their sophomore set primed them for a breakout with their third album. White Zombie’s ‘La Sexorcisto: Devil Music, Vol. 1′ arrived in 1992 and found some radio and video love with ‘Thunder Kiss ’65′ and ‘Black Sunshine.’ White Zombie’s tenure came to an end with 1995′s ‘Astro-Creep: 2000,’ but not before spawning another hit single in ‘More Human Than Human’ and fan favorite tracks ‘Real Solution #9′ and ‘Super-Charger Heaven.’ On the solo front, Rob Zombie has been responsible for four records. ‘Hellbilly Deluxe’ arrived in 1998, featuring the immediate hits ‘Dragula’ and ‘Living Dead Girl,’ as well as fan favorite, ‘Superbeast.’ 2001 brought ‘The Sinister Urge,’ which spawned ‘Feels So Numb,’ the groovy ‘Never Gonna Stop (Red Red Kroovy)’ and ‘Demon Speeding.’ Zombie slid a little commercially with 2006′s ‘Educated Horses.’ However, the album did feature the singles ‘Foxy Foxy,’ ‘American Witch’ and ‘Let It All Bleed.’ Zombie went back to the well and rediscovered his energy with ‘Hellbilly Deluxe 2.’ The 2010 album featured the songs ‘What?’ and ‘Sick Bubblegum.’ So there you have it — eight albums from Rob Zombie’s career. Let us know which album you think was the best in the Readers Poll listed below. Sorry, you need to have javascript running to see this poll. If you love BC you are going to get a chance to be part of a great story – join the revolution and let’s rock!” “This is, by far, our most ambitious record,” says guitarist Keith Nelson. “We are very proud of the work we’ve done and we are looking forward to presenting it to our fans.” Buckcherry’s last album, 2010′s ‘All Night Long’ debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the singles ‘Dead,’ ‘It’s a Party’ and the title track. Their most successful album was 2006′s platinum selling ’15,’ which featured the major rock hit ‘Crazy Bitch’ and the cross-over smash ‘Sorry.’ Buckcherry will get back on the road soon, appearing in Japan later this month and doing a U.K. tour starting Nov. 20. Five Finger Death Punch Offer Live Assault for ‘The Pride’ Video

Liz Ramanand, Loudwire Five Finger Death Punch take pride in their live set, and they’re putting it on full display with their new video for ‘The Pride,’ the latest single from their 2011 ‘ American Capitalist ‘ album. The clip for their latest single features footage shot during the band’s touring and showcases not only their stellar live performances but the stage setup, which includes a visual assault of imagery behind the band. The song itself deals with a fair amount of commercialism, as singer Ivan Moody riffs on a number of brand names and celebrity endorsers, while the video board in the clip has plenty of brightly placed images flashing to the crowd. Five Finger Death Punch recently wrapped up their Trespass America tour, and they’ve discussed the idea of ramping up to a January start for recording their follow-up to the ‘American Capitalist’ disc. The disc has already spawned the singles ‘Under and Over It,’ ‘Back for More,’ ‘Remember Everything,’ and ‘Coming Down,’ with ‘The Pride’ surfacing as the fifth single this month.
