Buckcherry Singer Josh Todd Digs Deep Into New Single ‘Gluttony’

Liz Ramanand, Loudwire Buckcherry have a big year ahead of them with their upcoming album ‘Confessions,’ due out Feb. 19. The disc’s first single ‘Gluttony’ is quickly rising up the rock charts, while the band is currently in the midst of a headlining trek before hitting the road with Kid Rock for an arena tour across the States. Loudwire recently caught up with Buckcherry singer Josh Todd, and he talked about what the album’s catchy lead single ‘Gluttony’ means to him. “It’s just about trying to control your behavior,” he explains. “They always say that you have to do everything in moderation and that’s never been my experience. One is okay, two is better, three is fantastic and four is the best. I want to consume everything, I want to go big or go home. I’m either on 11 or I’m asleep.” Todd concludes, “That’s my problem, that’s my struggle, trying to moderate — that’s what ‘Gluttony’ is about. It’s like ‘I want it, I need it, I love it’ and everything that feels good to me, I want to overdo it. It’s just who I am and I don’t understand why I can’t do it.” The ‘Gluttony’ single is currently available via iTunes . Stay tuned for our full exclusive interview with Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd. Buckcherry Put Out Open Casting Call for New Music Video

Jason Kempin, Getty Images Buckcherry are definitely moving forward in getting their ‘Confessions’ album to the fans. The latest step they’ve taken is setting a date to shoot a video for one of the songs off the disc, and you could be part of the clip if you fit the prerequisites for the casting call . The band has put out the word that they’ll be shooting a video for an unspecified track in North Hollywood, Calif., on Tuesday (Nov. 13) and they need people in the Los Angeles area to take part. The group has asked for males and females between the ages of 18-35 that have the looks of skaters, punks and rock ‘n’ rollers. They ask that those taking part be high-energy individuals and that they bring two to three changes of clothing as options. As for the clothing, it’s important that there be no labels on what you’re wearing, as articles with sports teams, band names and highly visible brands may result in the footage not being used due to copyright issues. Shooting starts at 9AM on Nov. 13 at the First Christian Church at 4390 Colfax Avenue in North Hollywood. Any questions about the shoot can be directed to jaynecasting@gmail.com. The group recently revealed that ‘Confessions’ is now expected in early 2013 . The band has taken a little longer on the disc, as it’s a more focused effort that could loosely be called a concept record. Singer Josh Todd penned a lot of the songs about his youth and transformation in adulthood, and there’s reportedly a film that will correspond with the album release in the works. If you love BC you are going to get a chance to be part of a great story – join the revolution and let’s rock!” “This is, by far, our most ambitious record,” says guitarist Keith Nelson. “We are very proud of the work we’ve done and we are looking forward to presenting it to our fans.” Buckcherry’s last album, 2010′s ‘All Night Long’ debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the singles ‘Dead,’ ‘It’s a Party’ and the title track.
