GWAR Announce Second Leg of U.S. ‘Fate or Chaos’ Tour With Warbeast + Wilson

Praise be to our intergalactic lords and masters of GWAR , as the alien metallers have announced a second leg of their ‘Fate or Chaos’ tour. The string of U.S. dates will be shared with the bands Warbeast and Wilson, who will open for GWAR during the 16-date tour. GWAR launched their ‘Fate or Chaos’ tour in late 2012, bringing DevilDriver, Cancer Bats and Legacy of Disorder along for the ride, resulting in a solid bill of acts. The quality continues this April when the traveling freak show begins again. GWAR front freak Oderus Urungus put down his crack pipe for a moment to lend us his thoughts about the future dates: As you humans amuse yourself with your mundane holidays, it has been a time of intense activity for GWAR, as we record our 13th studio album– the first one with our new Scumdog brother, Pustulus Maximus! We begin this years festivities with the second and final leg of our Fate or Chaos tour, so everybody who missed the first leg can see Cyber-Jesus get his f—ing ass handed to him. Then it’s back in the studio to work on all the hulking war machines we shall need on our devastating, brand-spanking new tour, after the album drops at the end of the summer! Can you believe I said drop? How f—ing stupid! Warbeast vocalist Bruce Corbitt also shared his excitement about the tour: This will be the second time Warbeast has toured with GWAR.  I have to admit, I’m even more excited this time around. GWAR is more than a metal show… it’s a metal experience. We’re just happy to be part of that experience again for a few weeks. We also can’t wait to play our new material from our upcoming second album ‘Destroy’ in front of their insane fans! Stay tuned for upcoming news on GWAR’s next album and check out the new ‘Fate or Chaos’ tour dates below. Godsmack’s Sully Erna Pulls Out of Texas Marathon Due to Injury

Liz Ramanand, Loudwire After announcing his participation in the San Antonio Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon  a couple of months ago,  Godsmack frontman Sully Erna has been forced to pull out of the Nov. 11 race as the result of an unspecified injury. Back in August, Erna expressed his enthusiasm about the marathon by writing on his Facebook page: “Started officially training 2 weeks ago for the 26.2 mile Rock N Roll Marathon in San Antonio, Nov. 11th 2012! Hoping to get sponsors and fans to help support me and raise money for children’s hospitals around the country.” Now, a new post on Godsmack’s official site reports, “Unfortunately because of an injury, Sully has chosen to back out of the San Antonio Marathon on Nov 11. He plans on continuing his training as soon as he is feeling better and appreciates all the fan support thus far. Fortunately, there will be other marathons in the near future and he looks forward to participating in one of them. He may have to take a little break for now, but he WILL be back in action very soon!” While the injury was not specified, Erna did have knee surgery within the past year and was seen playing shows with a knee brace. However, he tweeted, “Knee is holding up great so far!” earlier this year. Godsmack are set to play this year’s ShipRocked Cruise with a massive lineup that includes Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, P.O.D., Sevendust and many others. Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong Seeking Treatment for Substance Abuse

Spencer Kaufman, Loudwire Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong will reportedly seek treatment for substance abuse following his meltdown onstage at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. At the show, Armstrong went into an expletive-filled tirade after noticing a clock that had counted down to one minute left in their set. At the time, the band was in the middle of their seventh song, ‘Basket Case,’ when Armstrong stopped mid-lyric to begin his rant over the time constraint. After unleashing a verbal assault on officials seated near the clock, and claiming he wasn’t “Justin f—ing Bieber,” the singer proceeded to smash his guitar, flip off those he thought were responsible, and vow to the crowd that Green Day would return before thanking the audience for dealing with the situation. The statement issued by a Green Day representative to E! News read: Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong is seeking treatment for substance abuse. Green Day would like everyone to know that their set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those they offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. The band regretfully must postpone some of their upcoming promotional appearances. The incident comes shortly after the band had to cancel a show in Italy after Armstrong was hospitalized for an undisclosed illness. Mike Dirnt would later reveal that the singer was suffering symptoms of “severe dehydration” and had been vomiting prior to the show cancellation. The band’s new album, ‘¡Uno!,’ is due in stores this Tuesday (Sept. 25). The disc is currently streaming at the group’s Facebook page. Landmine Marathon’s Grace Perry – Brutal Female Metal Vocalists

Prosthetic Grace Perry is the earthshaking vocalist of Arizona death metal band Landmine Marathon . As an original member of the band since its 2004 inception, Perry has helped the group deliver four studio albums. The depth of her guttural voice and her ability to project her screams, along with a serpentine twist binding her lyrics, has helped bring Landmine Marathon to underground prosperity. Metal Injection may have put it best when they called Grace Perry ‘The Praying Mantis of Metal.’ Her sheen, yet menacing stage presence is incredibly unique, as she will ungrudgingly jump into the pit and get knocked around alongside the toughest men in the room. Landmine Marathon’s latest release is the 2011 full-length ‘Gallows.’ Perry delivers the most booming and well-rounded performance of her career on the album, and we highly recommend it for death metal fans everywhere. Check out Landmine Marathon’s video for ‘Beaten and Left Blind,’ along with a perfect showcase of Grace Perry’s perplexing stage presence in this live performance of ‘Rise With the Tide.’ [button href=”http://loudwire.com/kat-katz-brutal-female-metal-vocalists” title=”Next Female Vocalist: ‘Trauma Queen'” align=”center”] Landmine Marathon, ‘Beaten and Left Blind’ Landmine Marathon, ‘Rise With the Tide’ (Live)
