New Ocean Media Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler is set to head out on tour with his new band, Adler. After a few shows in California and Japan this March, Adler will invade the U.S. for a two-and-a-half month monster tour beginning May 16 in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. Adler’s debut album, ‘Back From the Dead,’ was released in November 2012. The ban’ds lineup featuring drummer Steven Adler, vocalist Jacob Bunton, bassist Johnny Martin and guitarist Lonny Paul, who has collaborated with Steven Adler in the past with Adler’s Appetite. ‘Back From the Dead’ also features guest spots from Slash and Rob Zombie / Marilyn Manson guitarist John 5 . The two Japanese dates will be shared with fellow former Guns N’ Roses member Duff McKagan with his current act, Loaded, and for all you European fans of Adler, the band is currently finalizing additional shows slated to start in the middle of September. Sebastian Bach Unveils ‘ABachalypse Now’ Track Listing + Release Plans
Frontiers Records Sebastian Bach has been putting together a new live document from his recent touring, showing off his prowess on the concert stage. ‘ABachalypse Now’ is a CD/DVD package that’s expected to arrive March 22 in Europe and four days later (March 26) in North America. The ‘ABachalypse Now’ package comes in two configurations — a standalone DVD and the Ultimate CD/DVD Edition. The latter platform offers two CDs full of live music, plus a DVD featuring never-before-seen footage from this past year’s Graspop Festival in Belgium, the entire performance of Bach’s Hellfest set in France and a fully-remixed and remastered show from Los Angeles’ Club Nokia. In addition, the DVD also comes with three bonus music videos. The singer says of the effort , “I am so excited for all of you to witness and experience ‘ABachalypse Now.’ We have included three recent concerts and the footage is totally kickass! It’s remixed and remastered for full audio and video quality. The performances and energy of the crowds are killer throughout the DVD and you really feel like you are at the shows. Green Day Unleash ‘X-Kid’ Video, Unveil 2013 European Tour Dates
The latter portion of 2012 has found the members of Green Day mostly off the grid while singer Billie Joe Armstrong completes his rehab . But the band is taking the first steps in regaining their footing, beginning with a new music video and their first announced dates of 2013. The trio has just delivered perhaps the most lo-fi video ever with their clip for ‘X-Kid.’ The group pulled from musical touchtones of the past in recording their album trilogy and the video for ‘X-Kid’ follows suit. The clip, seen above, features a queued up cassette version of the song, with the “play” button pushed allowing the viewer to watch as the track spools along. Meanwhile, Green Day has been rolling out 2013 dates in anticipation of their return. It looks as though the band will surface again in Europe first before playing other parts of the world. The first date is scheduled for May 24 at Fiera Milano Live in Milan, Italy with shows currently booked through mid-July. When the band return to the road, they’ll have all three albums worth of new material available to them, as ‘ Tre ,’ the final piece in their trilogy, recently arrived in stores. The Darkness To Launch ‘Let Them Eat Cakes’ World Tour in January 2013
Wind-Up Records After a bit of an extended break, the Darkness returned in August with their latest disc ‘Hot Cakes,’ the follow-up to 2005′s ‘One Way Ticket to Hell… and Back.’ Now, as if making up for lost time, the band is plotting to take their tasty musical treats out on the road again for a 2013 headlining run that will span 15 countries. While the band spent several months at the end of this year opening the show for Lady Gaga, it’s time for a return to headlining status. The Brit rockers have announced their own ‘Let Them Eat Cakes’ world tour that will kick off in the States on Jan. 10 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and take them all the way through to mid-April, winding down in New Zealand. The band will spend all of January in the U.S. before seeing Germany, England, Scandinavia, France Switzerland, Italy, and Australia in February and March, saving Australia for April.
