Unite the United Auction to Raise Funds for Late Suicide Silence Singer’s Daughter

Mary Ouellette, SheWillShootYou.com One of the more tragic deaths of the year occurred on Halloween night when  Suicide Silence vocalist Mitch Lucker perished in a motorcycle accident, leaving behind a wife and young daughter. The rock community has rallied around the Lucker family and the Unite the United charitable organization is the latest to help out. Unite the United was started by Warped and Mayhem Tour founders Kevin Lyman and John Reese, and they’ve decided to hold an auction with all the proceeds going to benefit young Kenadee Lucker, the singer’s daughter. Lyman and Reese said in a statement: We are all in shock about the sudden and tragic death of Mitch Lucker of Suicide Silence. Although the world and our lives will move on, he leaves behind a beautiful daughter, Kenadee, who will need the support that he promised her, and sadly will not be able to fulfill. With that said, we feel his music family from the Vans Warped Tour and Rockstar Mayhem Festival can step up to help in the best way we can and that is to dedicate our winter charity auction proceeds to a trust fund for her future education and care. Please show your support by checking our auction frequently for new items and bidding generously. Thank you. The Unite the United Mitch Lucker Memorial Fund auction will run from this Friday (Nov. 23) at 9AM PT through Monday, Dec. 3, at 3PM PT at this location . Some of the items on the auction block include: * a trip for two to London for the 2013 UK Vans Warped Tour. * a three-day, all-access ride-along on Kevin Lyman’s tour bus for the 2013 North American Warped Tour * one ESP LTD JH 600 guitar autographed by Slipknot * one ESP LTD TA Tom Araya bass guitar autographed by Slayer * a one of a kind drumhead hand-painted by Suicide Silence drummer Alex Lopez and autographed by the band * an autographed Mitch Lucker poster with the photo taken during the 2011 Rockstar Mayhem Festival. * Plus many autographed items from Slipknot, Slayer, Godsmack, Megadeth, Motorhead, Unearth, Machine Head, Trivium, As I Lay Dying, The Devil Wears Prada, Bring Me the Horizon and more. I See Stars Fill Suicide Silence’s Spot on 2012 Outbreak Tour

Facebook: I See Stars It’s been a roller-coaster few weeks for I See Stars , who were bounced off Falling in Reverse ‘s ‘ The Thug in Me Is You ‘ fall trek after disagreements with FIR singer Ronnie Radke . However, the group has rebounded rather well, filling the vacancy left by Suicide Silence on the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour . Headliners Asking Alexandria welcomed the band on board, and the group will play between tour openers Atilla and Memphis May Fire in the lineup. Suicide Silence had to drop out of the run after the tragic death of singer Mitch Lucker during a motorcycle crash on Halloween night. Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce said in a statement: First and foremost I would like to talk about a dear friend of mine who was prematurely taken from us this month. Mitch Lucker was one of the kindest and most passionate people I have ever had the pleasure of calling my friend. My thoughts are not only with his family and friends, but also with the millions of people, worldwide, who Mitch helped to mold and inspire into the people they are today. A great man was lost who’s love and passion reached all corners of the globe. As many of you know, Suicide Silence were preparing to join us on our upcoming ‘Outbreak’ Tour. Due to the devastating circumstances they will no longer be joining us physically. They will however, Mitch included, be with us in spirit. We will go out on this tour with As I Lay Dying , Memphis May Fire & Attila to pay our tributes and respects to Mitch and his brothers in Suicide Silence. A portion of all tickets and official tour t-shirts sold will go to Mitch‘s daughter for the Kenadee Lucker Education Fund. Suicide Silence could never be replaced on our tour as they are the only band in the world who could bring their element, intensity and power to the line-up. For the sake of giving the fans the best show we can under the circumstances, we have decided to add Sumerian Records family members I See Stars to the bill, NOT AS A REPLACEMENT BY ANY MEANS, but as another band who’s love and passion for music and their fans is as tried and true as ours. Now, more than ever, we need to come together to celebrate our collective love of music and to show compassion & solidarity in our scene. It’s time to put aside all petty differences and remember what it is that brings us all together, the music. Mitch – from myself and everyone else who will be taking part in this tour, you are forever in our hearts. This one’s for you. We love you. Cheers – Ben Bruce The Monster Energy Outbreak Tour launches Nov. 16 in Edmonton, Alberta and runs through a Dec. 16 finale in Tampa, Fla. As I Lay Dying’s Tim Lambesis Remembers Suicide Silence’s Mitch Lucker

Spencer Kaufman, Loudwire / Mary Ouellette, SheWillShootYou.com In the wake of last week’s death of  Suicide Silence frontman Mitch Lucker in a motorcycle crash, his peers in the metal community are sharing their memories of the late singer. As I Lay Dying  frontman Tim Lambesis spoke with Kaaos TV  (watch below) about Lucker after a concert in Finland. “Mitch and I have a lot of similarities,” Lambesis said. “We grew up in the same area. We both have the same kind of dogs. He gave me very kind compliments on how when their band first started that I inspired him in some way or another, whether it be this type of stage performance he has or… I would assume more just the energy; the music sounds a bit different.” One of the similarities Lucker shared with Lambesis was the love of riding motorcycles. “I’ve been riding Harleys for four years or so, and Mitch more recently got into riding and started riding more. And again, [that was] another similarity and something we were able to [share]… As friends, it’s good to have those things in common.” “When I get home from this tour, I usually look forward to getting home and getting on my motorcycle and just going for a drive,” Lambesis continued. “I don’t know if I’m gonna really enjoy that the same way, you know?!” Suicide Silence and As I Lay Dying would have been on the road together this fall as part of the 2012 Outbreak Tour , which kicks off Nov. 16 and also features Asking Alexandria, among other acts. A candlelight vigil was held in Lucker’s memory last week in Huntington Beach, Calif. Lucker’s wife Jolie Carmadella says it’s probable the crash was alcohol related. “He was an alcoholic, and it’s been a big battle. I tried to stop him. I was in front of him begging him not to leave the house. Begging him, ‘Just seriously, for us, don’t leave,’ and he did. And this is what happened.” She added, “It’s a wake-up call. He was an amazing man. He was a wonderful father and a great husband, and now he’s gonna miss out on watching [our daughter] Kenadee grow, because he decided to drink and ride. Just don’t. Just think before you guys do something stupid. Please learn from this. Please.” Watch Kaaos TV’s Interview with Tim Lambesis [button href=”http://loudwire.com/suicide-silence-singer-wife-reveals-he-drank-alcohol-before-motorcycle-crash/” title=”Next: Mitch Lucker’s Wife Speaks at Candlelight Vigil” align=”center”]
